Service was great despite the kitchen being down a cook. Loud environment but that is to be expected with a game on.

One does not often encounter establishments that strike the delicate balance between convivial atmosphere and polished service, but Bar Louie has mastered the alchemy. Last evening’s rendezvous proved a testament to their prowess. The service was executed with commendable professionalism—attentive yet unobtrusive, as all good hospitality ought to be. My companion, a gentleman of Mexican origin named Maximiliano (Maximo to acquaintances), and I began with glasses of wine—a crisp Sauvignon Blanc for myself—and a margarita of respectable composition for him. For the amuse-bouche, we sampled the Trio Dips & Chips. The crisp tortilla chips, presented with artisanally uneven edges, accompanied three housemade accompaniments: a salsa verde with commendable piquancy, a guacamole of ideal texture (neither overly mashed nor distressingly chunky), and a queso that avoided the cardinal sin of excessive viscosity. A harmonious ensemble, though the disclosed caloric considerations gave one momentary pause. C’est la vie—indulgence, in moderation, remains a pillar of civilised existence. Maximo elected for the Creamy Tomato Basil Soup, a choice both seasonally apt and executed with finesse. The broth achieved a velvety consistency, elevated by the inclusion of delicately toasted croutons and a snowfall of freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano. One might suggest a whisper more basil to elevate the herbaceous notes, but this is a minor quibble. The true triumph, however, lies in Bar Louie’s adherence to civilised licensing hours. A 2 a.m. closure is not merely convenient; it is a public service in an age of increasingly premature last calls. In summation: an establishment worthy of patronage. I shall return—though perhaps after consulting my tailor regarding the Trio Dips’ lingering implications.

Food was a lot tastier than I expected. Calamari was texturally perfect, not rubbery at all. Table was directly in the middle of where bartenders picked up their drinks and the kitchen door so I would have preferred another location, but it was Valentine’s Day and they were busy. Server was very good. I really liked her.

Wated 2 hours for my chips and dip sauce!! Worst experience ever. I could understand how busy the place could be but don’t take 2 hours to bring my appetizer! Like it’s just ships and dip!

Very poor service, we arrive before happy hour, and we’re not able to get a server in time so we had to go to the bar to try to get happy hour before it ended. We ordered our food and it took 45 minutes to an hour. Are we just was non-existent. I had wanted to order another drink. She said she would be right back and didn’t return it for 15 more minutes then when I ordered my drink, I didn’t get the drink for another 20 minutes. When we asked another Waitress to find our waitress to check on our food and drinks, finally waitress showed up and was very dismissive about why our food and drinksctsiing so long . Then when we finally got our food , burger, fries and My nephews food was lukewarm . Will not be back

Went for happy hour on our way to airport to pick up lost bag. Wait staff was great given it was Xmas day! Happy hour was a pleasant surprise given the holiday. Will definitely be back! Thanks Bar Louie!

We sat on the patio and they allowed somebody to smoke on the patio, which was right next to the door and the smoke was coming into the non-smoking section. All of this is against the state law! Smoking on the patio needs to be 20 feet away from the entrance of the building and the smoke cannot be going into the non-smoking area.
