Shocking! Over 45 min wait for drinks when the only customers in the store! Very poor communication from staff, leaving dirty plates on the tables for the duration of our time there. Dull food, tiny 3cm piece of fish on the “fish taco”. Needing to ask over 4 times for table water! With no other customers around, I’d hate to see how worse the service gets when there’s actually people around!!

We've been to Bar-ito many times. Although the last few times we've ordered drinks only to be told they are out of stock. Of most beverages. Food was much spicier than usual and it seemed this time there was no competent manager in there . It pains me to write this review as we are regulars there... the last few visits haven't been to the usual standard.

It was really good. We've booked already to come back next week. The ordering app was down at the beginning and majority of the staff were under 18 or without RSA's so there was confusion ordering drinks. We ordered and paid for a pint but received a schooner. To balance it out we said we'd order and pay for a schooner but get a pint. Unfortunately, this really confused the crew and we ended up with another Schooner. The girl behind the bar and the girl at front of house were fantastic. But you could see their frustrations working with so many younger staff. All in all it was good but the service was probably where it just missed the mark.

Food was ok but overpriced. Paying extra for sour cream and cheese at a Mexican establishment is ridiculous Service was terrible. There were at least 6 servers I could see and very few customers but we had to keep asking for help Young guy who took our order needed training as he had no idea about anything on menu. Not his fault but makes me question management

This was my second trip to Bartio. The food is fresh and the staff very prompt. However, on our second visit, the food wasn't quite as good. We asked for hard tacos, but got soft. We asked for an entree, but it came to the table last. I think there are some new staff that would benefit from some additional training also. Overall, still a good experience, but not as great as the first time.

We arrived, were asked if we wanted to order using the scan code or have table service. We opted for table service. The waitress came and took our order about 10 minutes later. Then we sat. And waited. And waited. Others got served, no one even glanced at us as they went past. After about 45 minutes, a waitress came over and apologised for the delay. We asked if we could at least have our drinks. She went away. Another waitress came over. She said there had been a ‘computer system glitch’ and our order hadn’t been processed. We advised her that it had been written down on a piece of paper, so the computer couldn’t be blamed. We asked where the piece of paper was and she just shrugged. We said ‘don’t worry, we’ll go somewhere else’, got up and left. There was no apology, no offer of a discount for wasting an hour of our time, nothing. We went to the Groove Train next door. Drinks and yummy food in twenty minutes and attentive staff. We were extremely disappointed with Barito.
