    We came on Maki and Sake Monday, which made the high end ingredients in their rolls much more affordable for us. We had the Rainbow Futomaki, Rodeo Drive, and a special (Lobster & Yellowtail), and each were fantastic! The quality of fish is certainly noteworthy. Drinks-wise, we highly recommend the Silk Tides cocktail. Very refreshing and complimentary to the maki rolls. We will be joining soon again!

    Made a reservation on open table. When we arrived (15 minutes early) they said they moved us to the bar…no thank you. This is actually pretty crazy because the place wasn’t busy. The food was good but the host was awful. The waiter was very good. But, a bad host can really start off the evening on the wrong note. Fortunately, I was with a great group, and we had a good time, but they should get rid of that host.

    10 out of 10 stars!! Excellent service! The food was delicious and plentiful! Worth every cent!!! This place is a must! We went during a slow time of day, but you can still tell the staff there were a vibe!!!

    I expected more from the food. Several items on the menu were unavailable, and I thought there would be more variety as well. The food was tasty, but the sushi had too much rice. It was good, but average.

    Rae was our bartender and she was outstanding: personable, helpful, and otherwise engaging. The drinks and sushi rolls were superb.

    Lobster shots were excellent. Sushi was just ok, nothing special. The rice was great. The salmon and scallop meals were delicious. Drinks were excellent. Food was overpriced for what it is. We liked the ambiance. It wasn’t too loud. The server was terrible. She was rude, bad attitude and terrible service. Don’t think I’ll go back.

    Great food and great atmosphere! We did the Maki and Sake Monday deal for half off rolls and Sake and it was such a great deal with high quality food. Service was great as well, we’ll be back!

    Second time we have been to Baru. I was rather disappointed this time. The food was great, the service was super slow. Our waiter was outstanding, just no help from the bar or kitchen. one app came out before we got our first drinks, the second after we got our meal. If it wasn't for Jacob our waiter, the night would have been a disaster.
