    We usually have a nice dining experience here, but this time our server got one of the orders totally wrong. The appetizer was ok (goat cheese and crostini), not the usual tasty food we get here. My pork chop was not thoroughly cooked. I brought it home and cooked it further. They did not bring us any bread, which we usually get on our visits. The server did try to make it up to us by giving us a free dessert, but having one of the entrees totally wrong kind of spoiled dinner. I guess she could have given us what we really ordred, but didn't offer and we didn't want to wait. Not the best experience overall :(

    This is a great south side restaurant. The four of us each ordered different dinners, and everyone complimented our waitress and the chef. The restaurant was packed. We had a reservation, and were seated promptly on time. We go there often, and our experiences have always been good.

    The place was PACKED so it was a bit loud, but the service was amazing, the food cooked to perfection and we really enjoyed our experience!

    Meal was good as usual, but we had a 6:30 reservation, arrived prior to that time, but were not seated until 6:45. Our server was inexperienced. Usually, Baxter's is a true 5 star restaurant, this time it was not!

    Great food all around, we had steaks, a shrimp cocktail and a tuna tartare. Delicious!

    Everything I ordered was delicious, my favorite was the shrimp cocktail, the shrimp are giant, perfectly made, cold and the presentation was very nice. The filet & shrimp skewers were also good. Service was amazing, attentive without being intrusive. Great experience!!
