Conceptualized by Chef Richard Sandoval, Bayou & Bottle brings a chic bourbon bar to downtown Houston, serving flavourful cuisine inspired by Houston’s melting pot of cultures. Featuring over 200 whiskies, Bayou & Bottle is a bar destination complete with vintage barware, exquisite whiskey flights, large TVs to catch the game and even personalized bourbon lockers where the most discerning bourbon connoisseurs can store their favourite bottles. Each bartender is a Certified Bourbon Steward, masterfully knowledgeable in spirit, and happy to share – be it whiskey, wine, beer or craft cocktail. In between signature dishes, guests can enjoy the Topgolf Swing Suites, the first game simulator of their kind in the world.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Bayou & Bottle, and it was truly a 5-star experience from start to finish. The service was impeccable—every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. The stewards, in particular, were exceptionally knowledgeable about their bourbon selection, guiding us through a curated list with expertise and genuine passion. Their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing the meal in ways we didn’t expect. From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of in every detail. The staff anticipated our needs and personalized our experience, making the evening memorable. If you’re looking for a place where top-notch service meets expert craftsmanship in both food and drink, Bayou & Bottle is absolutely the place to be. Highly recommended!

Excellent "bar food". Great, attentive service given number of people. Food order issue appropriately dealt with by management. Would definitely return if similar opportunity occurs.

We attended two bourbon tasting events at Bayou & Bottle and found the experience very enjoyable. The event themselves include food, plenty of bourbon samples, and a presentation from the bourbon representative. Overall, a great time! Bayou & Bottle itself is a lovely bar with great cocktails. The bartenders and staff were all helpful and informative. A particular shoutout to Bardia, the general manager, for his exceptional hospitality and kindness! We will keep Bayou & Bottle in mind anytime we are in downtown, especially for concerts nearby. Thanks again!

Overpriced and hidden extras. $6 for a canned soda is absurd, they don't tell you it's canned and they wouldn't refill. The truffle fries are extra, no disclosure. Way too expensive for a basic lunch.

UPDATE: We were invited to give them a second chance and attended a Bourbon Master Class. The entire experience was a complete success compared to our first visit. The service, food and whole experience were excellent. We will definitely return again for a full dinner and I am sure the experience will be far better than our first visit. We really appreciate the customer service follow up following our original review below. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation, we were shown a couch/coffee table lounge seating. We told the manager we reserved for dinner and this wasn't acceptable. He reluctantly sat us at a table for 6. We waited for over 20 minutes before we even saw our server. We consistently had to wait long periods before our server would return (even with a menu). We ordered from the Houston Restraunt week menu and waited over 35 minutes for our appetizers. The manager did come to apologize and said that they were extremely busy. There were multiple downtown events that night, which they should have known about and been prepared for. Our entrees (steaks) were overcooked and lacked any sort of flavor. The desert was very good and probably the best part of the meal. We did enjoy the fine bourbon selection, and our server was very helpful with selections and had a pretty good knowledge of bourbon. For all of our waiting, the manager did give us a 20% discount, which was appreciated but for a dinner that took 3 hours from being seated to being finished, they could have done more. Thankfully we didn't have tickets to one of the events going on, we just wanted to have a nice dinner and some good bourbon.
