Lidia Bastianich & her son Joe's Theater District mainstay. Best known for the $29.95 pasta tasting menu & the great selections on the $35 Italian wine list.                                                                               The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere, the service and ambience. Every staff member was amazing. I love this place. The only thing that would have made my night even better was if Joe and Lydia came out. LOL. I can’t wait to come back.

                                                                              I’ve had several excellent meals at Becco in New York City. I have dined at other Joe Bastianich restaurants. I trust that the meal will be well prepared with excellent service- our meal today at Becco, however was not well prepared. We had the Sonfonia di Paste, 3 daily special pastas plus salad or antipasto. Great value but today’s pastas were a disappointment. The pumpkin ravioli sauce was broken and the fettuccine with “scallops” offered two overcooked bay scallops with no seasoning. The red sauce on the penne was garlicky and delish. Joe, you would have been very disappointed in the other two. You would tell the chef it’s terrible and unacceptable. The double espressos were cold and filled with grounds. Not even drinkable. The service was excellent. I get that it’s Christmas week but where were the standards? I brought family and raved about the food from prior visits but was embarrassed at today’s lunch. Not up to Bastianich standards at all.

                                                                              Typical pre-theatre restaurant. A million people. Everyone in, everyone out. Had burnt lasagna, manager said “it happens”. Just a shrug. This after the waiter pointed at our table and laughed as the manager then walked over. Didn’t appreciate that attitude or lack of caring. Eventually came back and offered $15 off. Outside of the burnt lasagna, food was fine. Nothing to write home about. Prices definitely elevated here. Buyer beware. Know what you are getting into.

                                                                              We’ve eaten here many times before—- but this experience was not so good. We were seated late; service was not prompt; even getting the check was hard. Barely made it to the theater. Not sure what the issue was, but mayhem reigned.

Il 26 Dicembre insieme a mio marito abbiamo deciso di andare a mangiare in questo posto con delle aspettative molto alte visto che il ristorante viene sponsorizzato da Joe Bastianich. CAMERIERE ANTIPATICO Durante tutto il servizio non ha fatto mai un sorriso ma soprattutto sembrava come se ci facesse il favore. CIBO Antipasto -Polenta con il bacon buona -Antipasto misto buono se non fosse che il piatto era congelato e quindi è stato preparato h prima Primo -Tris di primi (fettuccine al ragù ,ravioli ripieni spinaci ,penne al pomodoro) non male tranne le fettuccine dure e sugo 👎🏼 Secondo -Costoletta di vitello mio marito è rimasto molto soddisfatto BEVERAGE gin tonic buono SERVIZIO Come detto prima pessimo. La cosa che ci ha dato più fastidio è che dopo aver terminato di mangiare i nostri piatti erano sul tavolo senza che nessuno venisse. Il cameriere nostro era sparito e quelli che erano lì non si avvicinavano. Alla fine ci siamo alzati con i piatti sul tavolo per andare a pagare.

                                                                              I love Becco. True authentic Italian food. I loved my salmon so much and the roasted Brussel sprouts. We loved the restaurant so much we’re coming back tonight.
