In 2003, while exploring Tuscany and indulging in the finest Italian culinary delights, we recognized a need for an Italian restaurant in Tampa that fuses traditional flavors with the contemporary essence of urban living.

In 2005, BellaBrava: New World Trattoria was established in downtown Saint Petersburg, where our Tuscan-inspired vision became a reality. Our New World Trattoria offers a relaxed dining experience, affordable prices, and a focus on building lasting connections with our guests rather than pursuing haute cuisine.

Our menu harmoniously blends old-world tastes with new-world sophistication. From seafood and classic pasta dishes to mouthwatering pizzas, we're confident that everyone will discover a delightful treat. Our special Woodstone ovens create delectable flatbreads, pizzas, and calzones, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients that evoke the flavors of Tuscany and other Italian cuisines.

It was a great experience, late dinner on a Friday, the place was pretty busy and we decided to eat inside since outside was a little too noisy. Lots of families with kids running around in the open area of the Plaza having fun, I guess if you have small kids, it’s a nice plan. The ambience inside was warm and inviting, the highlight of the night was the service, Natalie our waitress was upbeat, kind, and accommodating. From what I saw all the waitresses were doing a good job and kept the crowded place running smoothly. The beef carpaccio was really good, as where the ravioli, my favorite was the black truffle pasta. Price per value is OK, the portions are large enough for sharing, so you can try different things. They served great cocktails, have a decent wine selection, less overpriced than what I usually see in other restaurants. Will definitely return, it was a great evening!

Kara was our server and she was amazing! Bella Brava is run very smoothly and the staff were super pleasant. The food was outstanding. Looking forward to many more dinners there.

It was my birthday celebration dinner. My husband and I decided to try this restaurant. Our waitress was great. Dinner was served in a timely manner. My drink order never arrived. Manager brought it over eventually and apologized. He took it off the bill. We shared the calamari appetizer which we enjoyed. We shared the fra diavlo also and they were nice enough to bring it in 2 separate dishes. The scallops were tiny. I've never seen scallops so small! 2 shrimp in each dish. Not much else. It wasn't a big hit. Needs improvement. The linguini was black squid ink. It was just ok. 1 meal, 1 appetizer and 2 cocktails. Our bill was $73. Kinda pricey but today so is everything! Oh well.
