Originally started in New York, renowned teppanyaki restaurant chain Benihana is famed for its pioneering style of 'entertainment', which has now arrived to great acclaim in London. Its newest Central London outlet is now open in St. Paul's, at the Grange St. Paul's Hotel. Charismatic Japanese chefs toss fresh vegetables and your choice of meat or seafood onto trademark sizzling grill tables, conjuring up a range of authentic dishes right in front of your eyes. The varied menu includes miso soups, meat, seafood and tempura, as well as Benihana's signature grill dishes. Highly recommended if you are looking for delicious food with a memorable twist.

                                                                                                                                        The 8 person table was crowded even though the restaurant was only a quarter full. We had 4 of the seats with 2 separate couples on the others. The couples unfairly took a lot of space. I was not inclined to make an issue of it, maybe should have done.

                                                                                                                                        Great experience, fresh Ingredients cooked in front of you with the habachi chef part of the entertainment experience. I would recommend for small and larger groups. Staff friendly and helpful with options or near, pescetarian or veggies. Not sure about vegan but have to accommodate some food allergies also.

                                                                                                                                        We like Benihana but the atmosphere was lacking when we went. Maybe it was just an off night but we’ve had much better nights in other Benihana’s.

                                                                                                                                        The only complaint I have is that everything felt a bit worn out and not take care of. The menus were falling apart. The floor was sticky. The decor also felt a little off. Just looks like the person who owns it doesn’t really care all that much for it. But the chef we had was charming and the food was good. My kids loved it and I haven’t had tepanyaki in years. Overall a pleasant experience, just don’t walk in with high expectations.
