Set in the revitalized James St. North neighbourhood, Berkeley North is a West Coast inspired restaurant located on historic King William Street in the heart of downtown Hamilton. Berkeley North is the go to spot for a quick bite to eat, weekend late night cocktails, celebrating a special occasion or hosting a private party. Our young and passionate culinary team follows no scripts or rules when creating vibrant and unique dishes. We allow the seasons to influence our changing menu and are committed to using responsibly sourced ingredients.     We booked a table for dinner for family and they loved the ambience of the place and the hospitality provided by the owner Suzy. The food was quite a mix of flavours and really worked well for us as we were looking for some different delicacies to try in vegetarian. The place also offers gluten free food which was a plus as we had friends who wanted gluten free items. All in all a pleasant evening in a warm environment made for a lovely dinner.

    In town traveling and decided to stop in for lunch. The server took good care of us for lunch and we had an absolutely spectacular experience. Our cocktails were perfectly balanced and delightful. From apps to dessert, every forkful was magic. Cannot recommend it enough!

    I was excited to finally check out the dining experience at BN. The bar was cozy the dining room was nice. Our service was amazing, she was very attentive. We had the tasting menu with wine. Everything we ate was delicious and overall a pleasant culinary experience. I will come back to try the Tuna poke ball.

    Our first time at Berkeley North and the food was quite amazing. Ambience was interesting.. but fun. We had to try the Gnocchi and that was the highlight of the night. We had the BN salad and the Mushroom Dumplings which was all great. Service was great. Recommended!

    Honestly it was nothing to write home about. We were here last year and the experience was way better. We had family coming out of town and we were excited to show them this gem but the quality of food was food truck quality. The “BN salad” was 28 dollars and it was so terrible. Boston lettuce, cucumber, and a few sliced radish. The steak had zero flavour and the beef was so tough and kinda gross to be honest. The sour dough is simply a piece of sour dough with a ton of cottage cheese. Our server was very awkward. She pulled a drink off our table that wasn’t even finished. Overall kinda disappointed. I most likely won’t be returning. So many other better choices in Hamilton. I’m not sure how this one made the Michelin guide. The quality of food has gone down hill along with the service.

    Absolutely superb place. The food is delicious with authentic flavors and beautifully presented dishes. The service is attentive and friendly making you feel truly welcome. The restaurant design is beautiful. BN is a must visit

    Probably the best dining experience we have ever had. The food was exceptional but that couple with the attention to detail and personalize service that sets BN apart. It is evident that so much thought is put into every dish. Will definitely be back

    5 stars is an understatement! Hands down best restaurant in Hamilton. Every dish we ordered was out of this world. Portions are perfect and there was even room for dessert. The chana rolls are my new favorite. If you're looking for a romantic restaurant or the best food in Hamilton, make a reservation here.

    My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner and it was easily one of the best dinner experiences either one of us has ever had. From the absolutely delicious food to the service to the atmosphere it was a 10 / 10 all around. Every person we spoke with from the hostess to the wonderful owner, wished us a happy anniversary. Our glasses were filled and our plates cleared as soon as we put our forks down but we didn't feel rushed in the slightest. You could see how smoothly everything was run and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. We will most definitely be back. 5 ⭐
