Set in the revitalized James St. North neighbourhood, Berkeley North is a West Coast inspired restaurant located on historic King William Street in the heart of downtown Hamilton. Berkeley North is the go to spot for a quick bite to eat, weekend late night cocktails, celebrating a special occasion or hosting a private party. Our young and passionate culinary team follows no scripts or rules when creating vibrant and unique dishes. We allow the seasons to influence our changing menu and are committed to using responsibly sourced ingredients. Ultimately, what is most important to us is the way you feel from the time you walk in our door to the time you leave. Our staff genuinely delivers a dining experience like no other in the city.

    It was my second time dining here at Berkeley North we tried all the new features my husband got the trout and loved it I got the steak and it was juicy and delicious and we also got fresh cheese and sourdough which was worth the hype the service was attentive and kind overall a great experience!!!

    Brought my wife here for an anniversary dinner and everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were amazing and attentive, and wanted to make sure that we had a great experience. They were great at answering questions and explaining the menu. The owners attended and wished us and made sure the experience was good. The food was spectacular. BN delivered, and nothing we had was disappointing at all

    We stayed here as a family to celebrate my husband's birthday during our stay in Hamilton. We were absolutely happy. The ambience is nice, the service was courteous without being intrusive. The food was sensational. There were four of us (with our children) and we each ordered something different for the starter, main course and dessert, so we had a wide range. And it was all really good. It was a thoroughly successful and wonderful evening.

    from the second we walked in, to the second we walked out, service was impeccable & prompt. we came in for an early dinner and was immediately seated. special shout outs to the BN Salad, Cauliflower and Gnocchi! this was our first time at Berkeley North and was not disappointed. be mindful of the portions- they’re EXTREMELY generous to the point we were too full to order any dessert!

    I ordered the fried chicken sandwich along with a clubhouse sandwich. Clubhouse was absolutely tremendous, but the fried chicken sandwich looked like the fryer oil needed to be changed because it came out extremely dark. Not exactly a Michelin moment.

    Beautiful restaurant and ambiance. The small plates were exquisite and I especially enjoyed the teriyaki eggplant. The gnocchi was the best I have ever had. Our server was lovely and very friendly.

    We booked a table for dinner for family and they loved the ambience of the place and the hospitality provided by the owner Suzy. The food was quite a mix of flavours and really worked well for us as we were looking for some different delicacies to try in vegetarian. The place also offers gluten free food which was a plus as we had friends who wanted gluten free items. All in all a pleasant evening in a warm environment made for a lovely dinner.
