Perfectly aged steaks, one of the largest wine collections in the world, and an internationally famous dessert room. These elements have combined since 1956 to provide guests with a unique culinary experience. Prime steaks are cut to order, vegetables are grown locally on the Bern’s farm when available and sourced from the finest purveyors, and the menu includes 20 choices of caviar. Each visit to Bern’s Steak House takes you on a gastronomic adventure that defines Bern’s not as a meal but as an experience.

Our server Nick was excellent once we finally get seated, 35 minutes later than our reservation. When we first checked in, the hostess seemed like should would have rather been anywhere else in the world than working. When my wife went to ask her if there was an ETA for when we might be seated, she rolled her eyes. Josh the Som and Nick were great!

I was lucky to get reservations in the main dining area. They are usually booked months out and I was on the waitlist. However, the moment my plane landed I checked and something was available later that night. I was pleasantly pleased from the start! My server, Will, didn’t miss a beat. He was extremely attentive, gave the best recommendations, and provided information on the restaurant’s history. My wine cellar tour, restaurant tour, and dessert room reservation was made at the start of my dinner. The artwork on the walls were original photographs the founder, Bert, took during his world travels. The chandeliers and other furnishing were pieces he and his wife purchased at estate sales around the world. I ordered the black garlic and cognac strip steak. It was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. It can with a salad, the most amazing French Onion soup, a loaded baked potato, green beans, and fried onion strings. For dessert I got the Vintage Chocolate Lush Sundae and ordered extra Macadamia nut ice cream! It was magical!! The fudge that comes with the sundae is out of this world! There so much charm to this restaurant. It has a very rich history and there’s pictures and artwork on all the walls to prove it! The kitchen and wine cellar tours were very cool! Every seating space in the dessert room is like its own little private dining area. I was dining solo and my little cubicle was big enough for two people. It was such an upscale and elevated experience! I could come here again and again!! They have truly earned the title of one of the Best Steakhouses in the World!

Best restaurant and experience in the Tampa Bay Area. No steak like it at all! We have Sung this last visit and he was great! He took amazing care of us and made sure we were happy. Just like all the other staff members at every single one of our visits. This is a staple for Tampa!

This place is like no other I’ve been to. It is truly an experience. I suggest doing the wine cellar tour and the dessert room is an absolute must! Can’t wait to go back!

What a wonderful family night celebrating Christmas! Food was delicious, wine perfectly selected and 5 star service! Roman is one in a million, he always makes us feel at home and takes care of everything! This is why we come back time and time again.

The experience was amazing! Our waiter, John, was absolutely fantastic. It was the best steak I ever had! Will definitely go again! Superb!

We dined in the Florentine Room and Jesse was our server. Jesse was spot on we tasted a wine on the by the glass list and then ordered a bottle which Jesse decanted for us. Since we didn’t have cocktails it was nice the wine came out fast. Our reservation was at 5:00 and we were seated at our table promptly. We split the 4 bone rack of lamb which came out a little more rare than medium. Jesse brought a hot plate right away so we could each sear our lamb to the perfect temperature. We ordered my favorite appetizer escargot which was so good I was spooning the sauce after eating all my snails. I have never had a better onion soup anywhere including Paris. The salads were fresh and cold my wife ordered two different dressings the French (not your grandmother’s French) and the ranch. I always get the Cleopatra (creamy type of Caesar ). Berns has the best baked potatoe of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. It must be the quality of where they purchase their potatoes they aren’t big but perfectly done and delicious. The green beans served with the entree were tender and delicious and had a sweetness to them. The only problem was we were too full to go up to the dessert room and get the macadamia nut hot fudge Sunday which is my favorite dessert ever(next time😎). We did order the the specialty coffee drink Bern’s Cappucino which uses coffee beans marinated in different liqueurs. Still my favorite restaurant in the world which has the largest wine cellar in the world.
