Perfectly aged steaks, one of the largest wine collections in the world, and an internationally famous dessert room. These elements have combined since 1956 to provide guests with a unique culinary experience. Prime steaks are cut to order, vegetables are grown locally on the Bern’s farm when available and sourced from the finest purveyors, and the menu includes 20 choices of caviar. Each visit to Bern’s Steak House takes you on a gastronomic adventure that defines Bern’s not as a meal but as an experience.

Bern’s is a venerable institution in Tampa. There are many dining rooms and it’s kinda shabby chic in my view. We arrived earlier than our reserved time and they were able to seat us. Our server (not sure how to spell his name. Arhan?)was excellent and so attentive. I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon and it was so tender and delicious. My husband ordered the 16 oz strip steak and was a bit disappointed as there was a long line of gristle running through it, leaving some of it inedible. I was vey happy with all aspects of my dinner. My husband however is a bread guy and would’ve loved a roll or something. We were too full to go to the dessert room so we spit a piece of chocolate silk pie, which my husband liked very much.

Great experience! Fine dinning at its best. The tour of the kitchen was a plus. Don’t forget dessert!

It was a great evening - seated timely in a relatively small, quiet room, our waiter was very attentive and made sure we understood the menu, plus ensured we experienced the kitchen & wine cellar tours before heading to the dessert room. Food was FABULOUS!

We had a wonderful dinner from start to finish. Service was incredible, we really enjoyed Hayden. We tried the chateaubriand and loved it! Can’t wait to come back.

by far our absolute favorite restaurant. My husband has been going since he was 15 and I have been going since i was 19.

This was our second visit here this month, the first being a huge let-down regarding service (we know there can’t be a an issue with the food!), but this time we had the pleasure of being served by Abdul, who exemplified professionalism and grace throughout our meal. He was polite and attentive without being intrusive, and anticipated our needs and provided thoughtful recommendations. It has been a very long time since we’ve experienced this level of service here and are happy to see someone like Abdul keeping the Bern’s “experience” alive. We hope this gets him the recognition he deserves. Thank you for a wonderful evening celebrating my mother-in-laws birthday!

10 senior citizens for our annual December birthday dinner at Bern’s tonight. Be aware reservations don’t open until 60 days beforehand and as it is always booked, best to set the alarm for midnight to reserve. Service was stellar, food excellent with steaks cooked to perfection. We all ordered the 14 oz chateaubriand split which includes soup, salad, and sides for both diners for around $100 total. This split is not on the menu, you have to ask for it which we have been doing for many years. We did the kitchen and wine cellar tour, ending the evening in the desert room. Coffee and dessert were excellent as always. Ordered cafe con leche, TRILOGY OF CLASSICS which was 3 different desserts giving my husband and myself a chance to sample different items. Other diners ordered the bread pudding, French silk pie, cheese cake and baked Alaskan. The waitress did seem busy and we had to wait for the check but not a problem. Valet parking was $8 + tip.
