Best Quality Daughter houses a vibrant, chic décor and new, unique Asian-American menu. In 2018, chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, wanting to address the sparsity of Asian-American female chefs in South Texas, developed a new concept through a series of pop-up dinners called Best Quality Daughter with fellow chef Anne Ng and artist Jennifer Ling Datchuk. Today Best Quality Daughter is located in the historic Mueller House at the Pearl Brewery. Curated by chef Jennifer Hwa Dobbertin, Best Quality Daughter's menu takes inspiration from her travels and the comfort food of her youth as a second-generation Chinese-American.

Great date night spot! Had the garlicky noodles, spring rolls, hush puppies and cashew chicken. All fantastic!

The food and drinks were so good. The colorful vintage inspired decor was lovely. Our server was pretty good, had recommendations for us and was friendly. It was strange, though, I said I needed a box so he brought it to us and just set it on the table. No biggie to box up our own food but I noticed he had boxed up food for some of the neighboring tables. Maybe he was just sick of us? Ha. Ive just never experienced being treated differently than other patrons at a restaurant.

Food was really good. The waiter wasn’t so nice though nor had any recommendations for the menu. When I asked anything, she made nothing but facial expressions like if she was bothered by my presence or me asking her for advice. And also y’all should not seat people by where y’all wash dishes was very loud and nothing I wanna hear while I’m eating dinner.

First time and will definitely be back! Lisa did a great job as our server! Cashew chicken sooo good. Great cocktails! We also had pork belly and fried rice. All the food and drinks were delicious!

The restaurant is decorated adorably. The foot was excellent we love the spice and the rice was so good. Also recommend the Brussels sprouts. The service was excellent and food was delivered on time. Oh the drinks were delicious.

My husband and I ordered the cashew chicken lunch and it was delicious. My husband said the spring roll side was really good and their kale salad side was also tasty. The dressing was good. I’d recommend this place for sure.
