Bettys is famous for afternoon tea, and if you want to experience the finest we offer, book your table in the Belmont Room, York. This beautiful, historic room - located on the first floor of our York tea room - is steeped in history and provides the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea. You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a selection of savouries, indulgent sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible dainty cakes and scones. Put aside any concerns you may have about not feeling full: we’ll happily replenish pots of tea and sandwiches to make sure you leave feeling content. Set menu: Savouries; Smoked salmon miniature eclair, Mushroom quiche, Sandwiches; Truffled egg mayonnaise, Ham, Fountain’s Gold cheddar and orange & ginger chutney and Festive chicken, a miniature plain and cranberry and orange scone, Miniature Cakes; Chocolate & praline mousse, Clementine slice and Spiced chocolate macaroon.

Outstanding service, this was a top class afternoon tea. It doesn’t get any better than Betty’s. They set the gold standard for service & quality.

Such a shame had herd how lovely it was and looked forward to going for months, but the food was not what I expected. The smoked salmon was not salmon it was makrel (colour and taste) and the rest of the food was disappointing, the waiter was lovely and apologised for are disappointment, and he applied a discount to are bill. "From all i have herd about Betty's "I'm putting it down to the chef having a of day and sadly we went on that day. Also to the cleaners "the mirrors were so smeary the same as the tea pots they were horrible and not shined at all, we also were waiting on someone to take are token so we could get are coats. Gave up waiting and got them are self. So we could have easily taken someone else's, so anyone with an expensive coat don't let them take it

We had a very pleasant Afternoon Tea in the Belmont Room at Betty's. The good food, excellent service, warm surroundings and piano entertainment made a very special Birthday celebration. Thank you to all the Staff at Betty's.

Overpriced I'm afraid, the waitress tried but wasn't very tentative, had to keep asking for things, rather than being offered. Been to Betty's several times before but unfortunately feel this could be the last. Very disappointing.

Beautiful surroundings, delicious food and wonderful service. It was a very special experience having a festive afternoon tea with my mum in the Belmont Rooms.

Loverly place and food , service was personal and polite , definitely worth going , cost wise I think it’s a bit pricey if it is unlimited sandwiches so if you can eat you’ll get your money’s worth but overall the wife and myself really enjoyed it
