A neighbourhood restaurant in Melbourne just North of the city, dedicated to Italian cuisine, focused on a plant-based and gluten free menu'.
We offer traditional Italian food thanks to our experienced head chef, Tommaso Bartoli, born out of Florence, Italy.

Everyday we source our fresh produce from the finest local organic farmers to ensure the highest quality is being delivered to our guests. Our wine list is entirely composed of biodynamic and organic wines, always looking at a story behind the Lebel.

We also host an open cocktail bar which allows guests to have a drink here before their dinner or just enjoy a casual drink and bite.

If you're looking for a plant-based Italian restaurant with exceptional food this is the place. Huge bonus is that Bio by Doc is also completely gluten free, not that you'd know it from the flavoursome dishes. My pick of the night was the Fettucine with somked eggplant, asparagus and cherry tomatoes, fresh chilli & olive oil - sensational! This one had the coeliac in the group mopping up the juices with her bread. The drinks menu is also well considered and interesting. A little bill shock should not put you ood. This is worth it.

love how it offers italiam cuisine with dietary requirements, that is also done well. Bright and lovely atmosphere. Almost cafe-like interior except with a nice fancy bar. Staff were lovely, and did not pressure us or accuse us even when we were 20mins late. We ordered the chefs best selection menu at $69 per head. Food was very quick! Left very full. Even though food had many replacement ingredients to cater for dietary requirements, we couldn't really tell! Favourite were the croquets for entree, black ink pasta. Food was overall on salty side but not overly done so we didn't mind. Tiramisu dessert was yum though a little heavy (perhaps due to almond flour). Its coffee flavour was mild. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the night!
