Working in the Hospo Industry for over 15 years the customer service was Horrid! I made this booking and specifically asked for myself and my partner to be inside as this was a special occasion! I even noted this down in the booking when I made it.
When we arrived we were completely ignored by all the staff members. One of which was polishing glasses right next to the reservation tablet and the door. Next was the gentleman whom seemed out of his depth, it was his first shift there (not sure why he is running food, taking orders, drink and seating with no one to guide and support him) he ignored us as well as he walked right by us 3 times. No acknowledgement at all. We stood there for what felt like 10min before we were shown to our table. Outside! There were 2 tables inside that were not occupied, but we were shown to our table outside. I did mention this as this gentleman as he was trying to look up our booking, but that was no use. So much for our engagement.
Service by this gentleman was alright. Considering it was his first day. If it wasn't for the fact that it was our engagement dinner and the amazing food, I would have walked out! We sat under heaters yes, but the freezing cold wind that blew in from off the street was chilling! Once the order was taken, I stressed, as this gentleman looked panicked and made 3 mistakes with the order after we had gone through it with him. Our order was messed up, as our entrees came out with our mains!
The only saving grace for this place was the food! The sous vied chicken breast was excellent! As were the chips! Seasoning was on point! In fact both meals were amazing! Really impressed with them! Masterfully done chef!!
When we were leaving it took them 10min again, to find our order and get us to pay. The highlight as we left two staff members were having an argument about being racists toward one another, right next to our table outside. Food was 10/10 customer service was -2/10.
