Bistro Freddie is a 45-cover restaurant in the heart of Shoreditch showcasing the best in British produce and French wine.

The menu is inspired by classic British and French gastronomy. Expect seasonal starters, bold mains and pies to share, as well as larger cuts of meat cooked over fire.

Curated by Alex Price, Bistro Freddie’s all-French wine list focusses on real wines that reflect a sense of place. The wine list takes a deep dive into all corners of France, exploring a variety of styles, regions and producers.

We offer French wine, cocktails, canapé menus and feasting menus for any occasion. Located a few minutes’ walk from Shoreditch High and a stone's throw from Liverpool Street Station, within our classic dining room we can host up to 80 people standing or 50 people seated.

We had lunch at Bistro Freddie’s and really enjoyed it. Nice ambience, attentive service and intimate atmosphere. Very much liked the menu and everything was great quality. A small point but disappointing selection of desserts. Overall, very enjoyable and will definitely go back.

Amazing food, friendly staff, sat at the counter and watched the chefs at work. Romantic but buzzy atmosphere! Loved!

Not really enjoyed our dinner. The waitress was not helpful when ordering and the mains came in late and my order was messed up. They did offer complimentary drinks to make up for the mistake. The dessert was spot on!

We were really looking forward to this place and booked a month in advance. Unfortunately, it seems to have been a victim of its own success. We were running a bit late and called the restaurant to tell them we’d be 10 or 15 mins after the booking time. They were very keen to stress how that would mean we’d have less time on our table. When we arrived, they barely said hello before reminding us we’d have less time on our table. They ended up giving us more time on the table though… so the panic seemed unnecessary. Overall staff felt like they were very rushed and everyone was packed in. When I went to collect my coat, customers coats came were thrown everywhere by the doorway. Food was really average. Quite a limited drinks menu. My chicken was quite basic and the sauce was very salty. Friend’s steak was incorrectly cooked and when it was sent back, took another 10 minutes to come back. Would not return – just felt like they were trying to turn covers around as quickly as possible and food is overhyped and overpriced. Over £100 a head-hugely disappointing. Oh. And they charge a pound each for filter tap water. Apparently because of the way it’s filtered…
