Wine Cellar Experience

The Bistro Romano Wine Cellar Experience is available Wednesday to Sunday at 5PM or 8PM for parties of two or four guests and includes: 5-Course Tasting Menu in our private cellar with candlelight, a rose petal-topped table, and limoncello after dinner drinks. $125 per guest + tax is prepaid when reserved. 20% gratuity is added to your guest check when you dine. Additional charges include beverages, taxes. The Wine Cellar Experience is reserved for three hours. Any questions kindly call 215.925.8880 before reserving. The Wine Cellar Experience is nonrefundable.

Nice decor and ambiance, the service was very pretentious. Wine and main courses (duck breast and pesto pasta) were good, the fennel salad was refreshing, the purée a bit watery. The starter (artichoke salad) was a pile of noncoherent ingredients and had only two pieces of canned artichoke. The crème brulé was not a cream, it got overcooked and was basically a vanilla omelet.

I put a note in the reservation that it was my birthday and they made me feel very celebrated! They gave me a birthday card, and the server and manager on duty made sure to wish me a happy birthday, and they also gave me a free chocolate torte for dessert with a candle! Food was delicious and the ambiance was lovely. I can’t wait to go back!

Atmosphere was amazing. And the food i ordered was incredible (pasta with a pesto sauce and blue crab meat on top). But the bistro steak the person i was with ordered was almost impossible to chew. To the point where even a steak knife couldn’t cut the meat (maybe it was just a bad cut of meat that night). Cesar salad was really good with house made croutons it seemed. I also wish they served bread though; it’s rare, Italian places not having complimentary bread. It’s also a little overpriced ($16 for one Cesar salad lol). Other than that i still recommend it. Had good time.

Always have a good time here. Food is great and i love the atmosphere. Only issue i have is with the wine. Spending close to $200 on wine just to find out we were drinking a $9 bottle of Carmel Road is disappointing. Other than that, i love the place

This is a REALLY neat place!!! Definitely a little pricey, but the beautiful ambiance, excellent food, great service, an extremely talented musician (pianist) made this experience well worth it!! We don't go to fancy places often, but this was a perfect choice .
