If I could give stars, I would. This is not a dig at the server because I feel like he was overworked/overwhelmed, this is more of a management and overall restaurant issue. We had reservations for a certain time and still waited 20 minutes to be seated, no worries, I get it, things get busy. Then we had to wait even longer to have the waiter come by. We waited so long by the time the waiter came to us, we knew what we were going to get. Like I said, the waiter was nice and I think he was doing the best he can, but he looked overwhelmed. One of my friends ordered a drink that did not come out until the food came (everyone else had their drinks) and the waiter kept saying he would bring her drink. Also, not a great big deal but still everything was adding up. We received our food which was all appetizers to be shared, which we said we would be sharing. We had no plates, so I asked another waiter who had dropped off the food for some plates. I also asked for extra salsa because our nachos barely had any. Never saw that waiter again and never received our plates or salsa. By this time we were so hungry we could not wait. We had to use the napkins and table as our "plate." The nachos were cold, the cheese was so hard and stuck together that it was almost impossible to pick up a chip without taking the whole pile. Lastly, we ordered pizookies and ordered a strawberry shortcake. When it arrived it had no toppings and no strawberries. We questioned where are the strawberries and toppings. The waiter said they forgot to add it and will bring it. Some time passed as we were still waiting for the toppings. We asked AGAIN where are the strawberries and the waiter said they were supposed to bring it out. Eventually our waiter brought it and it was one strawberry with whip cream. Nothing like the photo. I have been coming to BJ's for years and the service and quality have really declined, unfortunately. It is not worth the high prices and horrible service.
