    Fridays to Sundays at BKC are sacred for biryani lovers. Each month, we unveil a new regional hero as part of our Biryani Bharat Yatra — a journey through India’s diverse biryani heritage. At BKC Biryani Kebab Chai London, we invite you to unlock a Pandora’s box of regal flavours, where every weekend reveals a new chapter in India’s royal Biryani legacy. While we proudly serve the slow-cooked traditional Dum Pukht style, saffron-infused Awadhi Biryani daily, we also take Biryani lovers on a journey through India’s diverse regional specialties. Born in the grand courts of emperors, Biryani evolved into distinct treasures across India. The Nizams of Hyderabad created a fiery, spice-laden Kacchi Biryani, while the Nawabs of Bengal crafted the subtle, aromatic Kolkata Biryani, marked by addition of potatoes—a legacy of resourcefulness turned into indulgence. From the rich Mughlai Biryani of North India to the coastal spice-infused Thalassery Biryani of Kerala, each version carries whispers of its royal past. In February, we unveiled the Hyderabadi Kacchi Gosht Biryani. In March, we opened the lid to Kolkata Biryani, where saffron-kissed rice, succulent meat, and golden potatoes create a dish fit for a king. And this month’s star — the Yakhni Pulao, a broth-soaked Kashmiri delicacy — each dish is a soulful homage to India’s regional feasts. What will next month’s Pandora’s box reveal?     Very tasty biryani in a huge portion. Nice presentation too with the little pink pickles on the side. Palak paneer was also delicious, highly recommend

    Good food in a good location. Restaurant is on the small side so it felt a little squashed in there. The starters were very good, we had an issue with one of our mains which was resolved with no fuss.

    From start to finish we had a fabulous experience. The food and service was amazing. We ordered a variety of dishes, which were really decent portion sizes. I love biryani, and both the lamb and prawn biryanis were delicious, the right hint of spice and cooked to perfection. The lamb biryani had decent pieces of lamb not the small bite sized pieces you typically can get. The lamb ghosht was the star - tender piers of lamb cooked in a rich sauce. Overall the variety of dishes is good, the menu is simple but caters broadly and each dish made with genuine care. From start to finish Tanmoy made us feel welcome and provided exceptional service.

    This was third visit to BKC. Booking via OpenTable was very smooth. We ordered Galouti Kebabs which was slightly disappointing. It was wasn’t as soft as before we didn’t enjoy as we did last time. The roomali roti, murg makhni and biryani were all good. But overall experience was good.

    Venue was cosy and the service was quick. Ordered the veg platter and it was quite tasty but not very generous with the portions. The broccoli was quite hard but the rest of the food was good

    Excellent and authentic biryani, especially when accompanied by karak chai. The quality of food and service are excellent. Although a small place, does not feel noisy. Great service too.
