Acclaimed Mayfair restaurant Black Roe is delighted to announce its new ‘Modern Asian’ menu. Having launched in March 2016, Black Roe was London’s first Poké bar and grill and September 2019 sees the dining destination employ its culinary expertise to curate an enticing and eclectic new gastronomical experience. The new menu blends technique and flavours synonymous with an Asian pantry, designed to excite its existing and new clientele. The menu has been inspired and influenced by gastronomical hotspots throughout Asia and includes Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and Chinese nuances. Executive Chef Jordan Sclare and his team employ traditional French techniques to introduce a masterclass in how to redefine traditional popular dishes, once again pushing the boundaries of menu creation. Situated in the heart of Mayfair on Mill Street, Black Roe is the perfect intimate hot spot for post-work cocktails or a leisurely dinner.

Cosy restaurant with a great vibe. Was quite disappointed with the food if I’m honest, to me it was quite tasteless and our fries were undercooked. Definitely not worth the price.

The food was very disappointing, all the dishes had a similar flavour, nothing exciting or adventurous. The lamb chops were labelled as a main dish and cost £18 pound something, and when they came out it was 2 tiny pieces of lamb with some pomegranate seeds, i don't know how you could class that as a main dish?? and same with this dish, pretty uninspiring flavours. If the food was half the price my review would be much more positive but the food we got for the price we paid was unacceptable. The overall vibe of the restaurant was really nice, great decor and a nice atmosphere however the food really let the place down

Was very much unimpressed with Black Roe, been wanting to go for a long time and attended on NYE however four out of my eight dishes I picked were over cooked or burnt which was disappointing. The atmosphere wasn’t that great considering it was New Year’s Eve seemed very quiet didn’t feel like a special occasion the staff were the best thing as they had good service just the food wasn’t that great quality compared to the other restaurants I often go to in the Mayfair area

Dined here on New Years Eve. Absolutely delicious food and cocktails! Highly recommend the whole lobster mac n cheese. Good portions of food beautifully presented. Service was attentive and friendly with a fab atmosphere. Very much looking forward to dining at Black Roe again.

I have been here for my birthday for the last 3 years and this year was disappointing. Food was not as good as previous years and service was pretty poor (food we ordered didn’t turn up, wasn’t offered a desert menu etc).
