Welcome to BLACKBARN, an American restaurant serving local, artisanal food in the comfort of a modern barn overlooking Madison Square Park.

Winter Restaurant Week menu is available Monday through Friday for lunch and dinner only.

For reservations of 9 or more, please call the reservations team at 212-265-5959 for accommodation.

With event spaces accommodating from 12 – 110 or entire restaurant buyouts for up to 450 guests, let the BLACKBARN Events Team assist you in planning an extraordinary dining experience for you and your guests. Please call the restaurant for private dining inquiries.

    It’s my pleasure to offer a review of Black Barn restaurant. The BlackBarn team are incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. The ambiance is absolutely lovely and the food delicious! Wonderful Sunday brunch experience. Thank you for an amazing experience.

    Usually never write any reviews good or bad but place was so good as we were leaving my wife said “that was so good i think I’ll actually leave a review.” Ribs were out of this world and service was on point! Will definitely be running back.

    This is our second visit to Blackbarn Blackbarn has really high quality food and the setup is very aesthetic. I would love to see some more vegetarian options on the menu. Also - the seating in the front side is very low, so it's a bit uncomfortable to eat a dinner. I had the croque waffle and subbed the ham with avocado - it was delicious and extremely satisfying. Also the cocktails we had were lovely. Will be back again.

    We came for the late night happy hour and were told after we proceeded to order off the happy hour menu that based on where we were seated in the restaurant that those prices could not be honored. When we asked for the manager he proceeded to be very dismissive to our party. He asked us “do you guys want another round??” granted happy hour was over and we hadn’t seen our server in 30 minutes. We all replied yes and then did not have anyone come over until 30 minutes later to say “i thought you guys were gonna move to the other part or the restaurant” …. At that point we just wanted our check it was clear they did not want to serve us another round nor acknowledge our presence. I will never be back here, from start to finish this was an awful way to start a Friday Night.

    The restaurant was pretty. Staff were kind and professional. Our server made a few mistakes with our order but nothing major. We tried almost everything on the lunch menu but the food was underwhelming and my group and I all had stomach aches after unfortunately.
