Blackfish, the flagship BYOB of Chef/owner Charles "Chip" Roman, offers seafood-centered, progressive American cuisine with French influences.

Guests can enjoy a daily changing a la carte menu, as well as tasting menus ranging from five-to-seven courses.

Blackfish opened in 2006 and has since been named “Best Restaurant” in Philadelphia Magazine’s 2011 “50 Best Restaurants” issue, calling Blackfish “flat-out fantastic; sophisticated without being overbearingly avant-garde, pretty and fresh without being precious; the perfect restaurant of the moment.”

We have had the same server for years and the same fabulous food I love this restaurant we go early for the quiet, it gets to moderate by 6:30 The flavors are well balanced, food is perfectly seasoned. The portions are perfect which is wonderful also

We love the Blackfish experience. The food is always excellent, as is the service. We especially appreciate the value the owners place in their staff by acknowledging them all by name in the menu. We will be back again and again!

I love this restaurant. The staff are like one big family. They even print their names inside the menu. None of them ever quit. It’s that kind of place. The food is the best in the Philadelphia area. The Kumamoto oysters with Meyer lemon foam and pink peppercorns are what dreams are made of. There’s always something new on the menu. And their family style To Go menus, still going since COVID, are fantastic and a great value. Did I mention it’s a BYO? Reservations are rarely hard to get. I only hope this review doesn’t change that. I love this restaurant. Well done Blackfish!

Always a lovely meal. Went for weekly special meal based on fois gras. Delicious, beautifully presented, great service and a memorable experience. Also a great value for the price.

We ordered the weekly special tasting menu, which featured lobster. Every course was delicious, and the menu is a great value. We are so fortunate to have food and a restaurant experience of this high quality in the suburbs. I have dined at Blackfish often, and never been disappointed.

One of the most consistently excellent restaurants in the mainline area. They have a special tasting menu from Tuesday through Thursday every week. Chef makes three dishes with one ingredient. Tonight it was lobster. All the dishes were excellent. A homemade dessert is also included and the restaurant is BYOB!
