Blackfish, the flagship BYOB of Chef/owner Charles "Chip" Roman, offers seafood-centered, progressive American cuisine with French influences.

Guests can enjoy a daily changing a la carte menu, as well as tasting menus ranging from five-to-seven courses.

Blackfish opened in 2006 and has since been named “Best Restaurant” in Philadelphia Magazine’s 2011 “50 Best Restaurants” issue, calling Blackfish “flat-out fantastic; sophisticated without being overbearingly avant-garde, pretty and fresh without being precious; the perfect restaurant of the moment.”

                                Consistently one of the best restaurants in the area. I go there at least once a month. It is BYOB. We had the bigeye tuna tasting special and it was phenomenal. Service was wonderful as usual.

                                The food experience and service at Blackfish was terrific. Our waitress Silvia was pleasant, attentive and extremely knowledgeable about each offering and the ingredients used by the Chef in developing the dish.

                                wow, just wow. A perfect experience from start to finish! Brussels sprout salad and salted beet salad, amazing. The pollard and agnolotti as mains, delicious. I always like something sweet after dinner and the mini cream brûlée option nailed it. The house made focaccia, so wonderful! Every table was full and despite being so busy service was impeccable. Water glasses always refilled, our server was attentive, continuing to check in without be intrusive. Can't wait to return!

                                Excellent meal of oysters, beet salad, dorade, ravioli and agnolotti topped with the warm chocolate cake and crème brûlée. Gracious, albeit somewhat overworked servers on a busy Friday evening
