We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Feel the comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjuring memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC - a place where, with the blinds rolled down and away from prying eyes, a decadent lunch can swiftly roll into dinner.

    Food came out very quickly and you could tell it wasn’t fresh. Food was lukewarm and you could tell the Yorkshire puddings have been sitting there all day. Walked past the kitchen and I wish I had seen it before I had eaten. I’ve been to the black lock in Shoreditch and it never disappoints. But Canary Wharf I’ll give it a miss

    We visit Blacklock regularly but this was our first roast at Blacklock and it was amazing, plenary of food on the al in platter. Only downside was that we were really disappointed we never got to try the famous cauliflower cheese or brussels as they were both sold out. Lewis was one of our servers, he was lovely and engaging, we had a good old chat with him as it was almost closing time.

    Wonderful Sunday roast dinner. I got the beef and it was delicious. Everything the beef, the carrots, cabbage, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy all just cooked perfectly. Wonderful service.

    The food was excellent! The pork roast was stunning & literally melts in your mouth! And don’t even get me started on the cheese cake for dessert. Beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant 100%!!!!

    As a whole the food was nice, gravy is excellent. Beef and lamb were both disappointing but the pork was lovely. Far too noisy in the restaurant could barely hear the person sitting across from me.

    I've been to Blacklock multiple times, both in Soho and Canary Wharf, and also to other Sunday roasts in a similar price range, and I must say this was a bit disappointing. Not bad by any standard, but we went with the All In, and the pork was bland, the beef just not a very tasty piece, and only the lamb I truly enjoyed. The potatoes were also on the wetter side, not very crispy. Maybe next time I'll try the Devon Sirloin special, but definitely no more pork for me.
