   This place offered a really great Sunday roast but really I’m only writing this review to compliment the server, sadly I didn’t get his name but bald head and loud voice, the service was exemplary. If only every restaurant had someone like this. Nice staff, nice food. Would return. House lager really good too. We found it a little too loud, only reason it’s not five stars to be honest.

   Best Sunday Roast to date! We could have drank the gravy. Wonderful, accommodating staff. Would recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch Sunday dinner.

   Excellent Sunday roast. We enjoyed the extra gravy. Great efficient service. Buzzy atmosphere. Loved the wine on tap great wine and good value

   Took family (my son 19 daughter 16 and wife). Their faces said it all. Every new bite generated a heavenward look! The quality of the food was sensational. This place is a rare gem that maintains quality and exceptional execution. Service was lovely too. Can’t fault it and I’m bloody hard to please. Kids ended up fighting over the cheesecake which was the only blip! Thanks to the city team for a memorable evening. 10/10

   The food was delicious, the sides were a little steep in price but that's the only thing I could say as a negative. Our service was great too, lovely waitress, perfectly attentive.

    We had been recommended Blacklock by both of our children. We went to the City branch. The food was excellent. Our friend said the burger was the best he'd ever eaten.I had the steak pie which was a special which was delicious with fabulous pastry surrounding the whole pie. The pig head on toast and mushroom on toast starters also got high praise. The service was also really noteworthy. Our waiter knew everything about the menu and looked after us brilliantly
