Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

    This is a great spot for a sunday roast. The desserts and cocktails are excellent aswell. Very friendly staff and service. A great spot all round!

    Excellent Sunday roast experience. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We had our ten year old with us and he was made to feel very welcome.

    Excellent!! The atmosphere was cozy, lively and friendly. The Sunday Roast was delicious; they had a sirloin roast special the night we went which was spectacular. The most compelling part of the evening though was the service…EXCEPTIONAL! From the host to the bartender to the waiter- totally committed to ensuring a wonderful customer experience. We live in the USA but will be back at our next visit!!!

    Always love our meals here! We loved the newer starter that they added to the menu, the beef ribs, delicious! Service was fantastic as were drinks

    Was recommended to try here. Had the mixed meat platter for 2 which inc nibbles and 2 sides. Best part of the meal were the chips in beef dripping-delicious. Meat was good. Other sides were average. Drinks menu reasonable. Cheese board afterwards was fairly basic. White chocolate cheesecake was average, although decent sized portions. Was around £65p/h inc service, so reasonable price for London nowadays. Would go back but try a specific steak next time.

    We’ve been going to Blacklock for the last 7 years. The food is outstanding and the service likewise. More than that we have not been to a more consistently excellent restaurant group in our lifetime.

    Food was amazing and the staff were very tentative and made our experience brilliant. My partner loved everyone saying Happy Birthday to him and the cheesecake!! Thank you, we will definitely be returning next time we’re in London.
