Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

Food wasn’t so good, steaks could’ve been a lot better than expected. However, Erol was our waiter and he was super lovely.

Outstanding food and service by George who looked after my colleague and I extremely well; knowledgeable about all the food, drink and the right level of customer engagement. His other colleague whose name I did not catch was also exceptional. I well oiled machine, fantastic customer service and staff.

I've returned many times to Blacklock City since 2018 and every visit has been excellent. I love the Monday Butcher pricing but the everyday prices are quite fair. The service is exemplary and my waitstaff clearly communicates their pride and enthusiasm working as a team. It's a really good place to visit as a customer, and I think it's a really terrific place to work.

Came for Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. We got the All In plate to share between four people which was a good size. All the meats and trimmings were delicious. Food also arrived really quickly. Overall the best Sunday roast we’ve had at a restaurant, highly recommend!

Best roast we’ve had! We went for the sharing board and so glad we did, it was amazing!! Will definitely be back! Staff were amazing, helpful and chatty and all seemed really happy! London City is the place to go!

Staff were a bit slow to greet us at the door but otherwise the service was polite and helpful and the food was incredible

Sunday lunch was fab quality and generous portions. Only thing stopping a 5 stars is the temperature of food. Several items were lukewarm warm and just took the eve off of a 10/10 lunch.

Amazing food, great vibes and the staff were all energetic, social, super helpful and they made our time fun and special. Out of all the branches we've been to, City is by far the best. Thank you!!
