Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old brothel, we take the best meat in the country from the award winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast almost as good as Mum's.

    An amazing experience as always. The steak was succulent and cooked to perfection. The serving staff were attentive and well deserved the service charge. Even when there were any issues they were solved immediately and with care. I will come back again!

    Service was friendly and the food was quick. The Sunday Roast portion was big enough for 2 people. It's our first time trying Sunday Rosst but the beef was just ok. The pie was good. The place was quite vibrant but could be quite noisy. Reservations needed.

    We did the all in Sunday roast for 3 & we didn’t get much food, definitely not like photos shown, ours wasn’t heaping. All in you get pork, beef & lamb, but I only got 1 piece of lamb never got to try the other 2 meats because they only gave us 2 slices of those, and there were 3 of us. There were lots of greens, but only 1 potato for me too, not much carrots. All in all, didn’t live up to what we were expecting, so it was disappointing. I booked our reservation almost 6 months in advance and was really looking forward to this meal.

    The heartfelt service and cozy atmosphere stood out at this place. It’s somewhere I’d love to visit again. The friendly staff and relaxing ambiance made the food even more special. The cheesecake is absolutely the best—make sure to try it:)

    Beautiful food, I highly recommend the mushrooms or pigs head on toast to start they were delicious, the meat was fantastic on our mains too

    Extremely slow service—three tables seated after us were served their food before us. We waited 40–50 minutes, and our drinks were served 20 minutes after ordering. When I asked the waiter why other tables had been served before us, he dismissively replied that those tables had ordered chops…. I won’t be coming back …
