The 2-course lunch menu showcases some of the finest local ingredients, expertly prepared to tantalise the taste buds and satisfy lunchtime cravings. Enjoy an entrée and main course, or a main and dessert, all curated to be served within a convenient timeframe, making it perfect for weekday business meetings or casual gatherings. Some of the restaurants favourite dishes adorn this daily lunch menu including fresh oysters, the very popular Tempura Northern Rivers Moreton Bay Bug Roll, the NZ King Ora Salmon, Whole NZ Black Sole (500g) and the market fresh seafood Pasta Cavatelli. There’s even a Steak Tasting board featuring Wagyu Rump Cap and Westholme Tenderloin for those wanting something from the land.

The atmosphere and food were very good but we didn’t get our first drink order until 45 minutes after arriving. Our food was Very slow coming out, about 30 minutes after that. I put it down to inexperienced staff settling in. I think this could become a great restaurant if they sort out the service side. Staff are friend and polite but inexperienced. Worth going to for the food still.

On arrival at the restaurant we were taken outside to a booth on the street. Asked for this to be changed which it was. I ordered sashimi when finding out it was kingfish, alas they had run out at 6.15on a Saturday night although the tuna sashimi was lovely. Service was not good, had to constantly wave to our server for water and the drinks order took forever- for main 2 of us ordered the blue swimmer crab pasta which was ok but there was no hint of chili so I asked for some fresh chilies and she came back with what looked and tasted like a bottle of hot sauce. The restaurant itself is beautiful but not enough for me to return any time soon.

We arrived a little early so were shown to the Bar for a drink. The hostess who greeted us was very pleasant. The Bar staff were very attentive. In due course we were shown to our table which we had booked in the Upstairs Dining area. The food was amazing but the quality of your experience will depend on which waiter serves you. In our case we had a less than satisfactory experience as our waiter showed little interest in looking after our table.

Service was exemplary. High staffing levels whether greeting at Front Desk, behind the bar, kitchen race, or on the floor was amazing to view, especially in a time when most businesses are struggling to find suitably trained staff. This staffing level speaks volumes about the health of this business. We chose the Seafood Stack for 2. My only suggestion for this choice would be to consume the cooked components first whilst they are still hot.....so eat the Moreton Bay Bugs, scallops, and battered fish first, leaving the chilled Coffin Bay Oysters and peeled prawns till last. A great restaurant, and one I would go back to.

Brilliant service very professional and the food experience was fantastic The Patagonian toothfish was a rare treat and cooked to perfection Will definitely be back and highly recommend Bit on the expensive side but worth the fine dining experience
