We popped in at 11:15 for an 11 o’clock reservation due to traffic. They were wonderful and accommodating. Food came out so quickly and made it to a show by 1 o’clock with no problem. Will definitely recommend.

Had a delicious brunch and wonderful time at The Blue Dog Cookhouse and Bar! The menu was so impressive!!! Tons of choices and everything we had was prepared perfectly. The staff was very attentive and worked very hard to fulfill all of our requests! We even spent several minutes visiting with the guy in charge ~ a fellow Tennessean who was so welcoming and helpful! He offered us lots of ideas to enhance the rest of our visit to New York and made us feel like we were old friends!

Very small space, but neat atmosphere. Menu has a variety of items for all palates. Close to Broadway shows.

The restaurant is cute and the food was very good. But after an hour and 10 minutes, we were “politely” asked to leave because they had over-booked or had a big line waiting to be seated (something like that). We ordered cocktails, entrees, cappuccino and dessert so it’s not like we weren’t spending money. I didn’t feel like we were valued customers.

We had a delicious brunch. The service was great. It was, however, very frustrating to find the entrance. The sign on the door on the street says to use another door and points left. You actually go around the back, but there is no sign indicating the correct door. We walked around for a while and had to get help from someone in the plaza. Why you wouldn’t just make that clear is mind boggling. The ambiance was very nice, but we were seated at a table that only one person’s chair could fit into. We were crammed and physically uncomfortable. It was also so loud we couldn’t even hear each other. Great food and overall experience, but improvements are needed.

Food was amazing! Service was also very good and attentive. It is pretty small in there (which is obviously not a foreign concept in NYC) and I know they can only do so much about. While I didn’t mind being placed at the community table, I could see how this would not be welcomed depending on who your neighbors are; can only have so much privacy. I embraced it though! Had a charm with the projector in the back playing the 3 stooges.

Phenomenal food!! Scallops, Shrimp, pasta, risotto- all were DELICIOUS! Very attentive service, a bit of tight seating, but just helps bring people closer together! A fun place with great food and service. Perfect for pre-theatre- definitely make a reservation. Will be back!

Food was excellent. Enjoyed the cocktails. The only negative is our very small table was to seat 4 and sat right by the entrance so we had very little room and we were in the servers’ way our entire meal. Good service!
