Situated on bustling Gun St in the centre of Reading. With a passion for Real American BBQ, it is our quest to bring the genuine flavours of the Southern States to the UK.

For lunch & dinner we serve our smoked meats, all cooked the true American way which means our BBQ pitmasters work around the clock to ensure the 'cue we serve when our doors open is the best you will find - it takes nearly 48 hours of loving care and attention to perfect each of our smoked meat cuts.

For breakfast every weekend from 9am, we serve up freshly made-to-order American pancakes with delicious toppings, as well as fully loaded smoked breakfast plates.

                                                                                                  The front of house lady was lovely and enabled us to surprise a family member which was great. The pay as you go for drinks and food was annoying. We couldn’t set up a tab- we were not a flight a risk- just a family celebrating a birthday in the early evening. We couldn’t relax, we were up and down to the bar. It felt like we were eating back in Covid times. The restaurant was cold. We asked for the heating to be put on but was told it was broken and they had been awaiting an engineer for a week. Our party ate with coats or scarves on. The waitresses behind the bar were not engaging or knowledgeable about the menu. We had no idea the side orders were so big and felt this was something they could have explained as there was a lot of food waste. The food arrived lukewarm - not because it wasn’t well cooked but because it was served on very cold metal plates. The food was ok but would be have been better if warmer. Overall, we probably won’t go back. The coldness of the restaurant and food and not being able to set up tab made us feel like we weren’t valued.

                                                                                                  The host/bartender seemed unfriendly and unhappy throughout our visit. Her attitude and the way she looked at us and our guest made us feel unwelcome. If we weren’t starving, we would have left before we even sat down. The food was lukewarm, and the brisket was dry and lacked flavor.

                                                                                                  Food and service was good. I did have a problem with the first meal brought out but they did make it fresh for me although i did have to wait over half hour for my new meal it was nice.

                                                                                                  Food is tasty, good portions and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and fairly quick. Some extras were missing from the orders but we couldn’t be bothered to complain as were in a rush. Restaurant was very cold. But overall did what we wanted and we enjoyed the food so would visit again.

                                                                                                  Delicious food and generous portions, we go often and can highly recommend it. Staff are always lovely too, absolute stars. Country music may not be to everyone's taste but it's theme appropriate and not too loud.

                                                                                                  The food was very salty - I had the breakfast, not the ultimate one. Not to my taste, I prefer to add salt if I want to. The others liked their food so I guess this wasn’t the same for everyone but then they chose different options. The tea came in a huge pot which was metal and so hot I burned my hands every time I tried to use it. Chairs are old wooden chairs we used to have at school. All in all I probably wouldn’t come back for breakfast, I’ve had much better elsewhere.

                                                                                                  This was probably one of the worst dining experiences I have ever experienced. The vibe of the whole restaurant was off and it was practically empty on a Friday night which was a shock. Had always walked past this place and thought it looked good but was really disappointed. The food was extremely bland and overpriced and most of it arrived luke warm and almost cold. We would’ve complained but there was no call back to our table and there was little to no customer service. Furthermore one of the dishes we ordered arrived without some of the food on the plate and we hadn’t realised until we had left. For the price this place is absolutely not worth it.

                                                                                                  I've been to many BBQ places and this disappointed me to be honest. The food was tasty but for a sharing platter (Pit Boss Platter) there was nowhere near enough food. As an American theme place I expected much bigger portions. They did give a good amount of chips but we got all the small crunchy bits rather than the fat big chips one would expect. The beans weren't typical BBQ beans but rather baked beans with a little pulled pork in them and the odd kidney bean. They weren't smoked beans one would expect from a BBQ place. And the real kicker was there was no Corn bread! The dish cost £52.60 for a plate I could Eat on my own! The beer is super expensive. London prices and some. The service is not really service. It is the same as Nandos. Pay by QR code before getting your meal, or go order at the bar. Overall it was disappointing. They need to take a leaf out of The Big Easy restaurant page to do proper BBQ.
