Bluewater Grill offers fresh seafood and American fare in a historic location overlooking the Newport Beach bay. Whether looking for classically prepared seafood or something specially created by Executive Chef Albert Serrano, diners at Bluewater Grill will find an extensive menu and fresh ingredients to keep them hooked.     I really enjoyed the location on the water, with the boat slid up with colorful Christmas lights, and the ambience was warm although a bit noisy. I had an amazing piece of cod and some of the best oysters I’ve had in a long time. I appreciated being sat early and the service was very good.

    I had the Roasted Striped Bass. The portion of fish was very generous, and the bed of vegetables was a nice combination of asparagus, tiny potatoes, and corn also a generous portion. The dish was quite tasty. My brother had the Wedge Salad, which looked wonderful. My sister-in-law and brother ordered the lobster roll, and they both said that they would definitely order the same meals again. We split the Java Mud Pie between 3 people. I thought it was good, but I would have preferred more chocolate sauce; the ratio of sauce to ice cream was a bit light in my opinion. The service was excellent, except that my husband’s Caesar Salad never arrived, but he had plenty to eat without it, because the portions were all very generous.

    They were busy so we had bread at our table long before the server came around to even take drink orders. It was loud and busy but the food was delicious as always so you know we will be back. Lol my husband spins it and calls the wait " anticipation"

    This was our first time dining at Bluewater Grill. We felt our experience was “ok.” We would probably not return. We did not feel like the food quality was fantastic or matched the price. Our waiter also took at least 15 minutes to greet us and take a drink order. Our reservation was at 5:30, so the restaurant was not super busy yet. In addition to our waiter taking a long time to greet us he was not very friendly.
