Bluewater Grill offers fresh seafood and American fare in a historic location overlooking the Newport Beach bay. Whether looking for classically prepared seafood or something specially created by Executive Chef Albert Serrano, diners at Bluewater Grill will find an extensive menu and fresh ingredients to keep them hooked.     Starter (crab-cakes)was average, salad (wedge) was outstanding, entree was good, but not great. Entree was hot which was a huge plus. Service outstanding. Mens restroom was filthy.

    The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were very attentive to our needs, but gave us enough space to talk amongst ourselves. Food was outstanding, as always. The halibut was fresh and cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back.

    Always a fabulous meal! Ahi salad was perfect and the lobster roll scrumptious. Best part was the view but a close second was our waiter who brought my friend a bday dessert even though she said no 😂 she really enjoyed it! Fun memories were made today, thank you!

    Worth the trip if you’re looking for seafood in the area. We chose to eat outside due to noise levels in side (people + music). It was cold (for me) but the heaters and my layers made it work. Ended up with a server swap in the beginning…not sure why…but #2 was fine though a minor miscommunication lead to a minor error in one meal. Truly a “1st world problem” thing. I would go again.

    Went for the first time, the food and service were perfect. Enjoyed the view, and decor. The vibe of the restaurant is very old Newport which I appreciated.

    We will be back! The service was outstanding. Food is delicious with huge portions. My husband & I shared the smoked fish platter which was a charcuterie board with a variety of goodies. We split the salmon entree that included scalloped potato, spinach and mushrooms. So good! We saved room for a piece of mud pie which was perfect.
