Welcome to Bocca Italian at Bokarina Beach on the Sunshine Coast! Offering hand stretched pizza, an array of Salumi's, breads and cheeses and fresh pasta's! Exec Chef Harry Lilai (Ex Cecconis Melbourne) and Head Chef Rob Bredhauer (Ex Bianca Brisbane) have created a menu designed for sharing with all the Italian favourites.
Osso Buco, Tiramisu and Polpette with flatbread are our go to's and we of course have a cracking wine list with local, local Italian and imported Italian drops.
Our cocktails are all made by Lauren Thomson, our amazing Bar Manager from Market Bistro, so of course we have the salted caramel espresso martini as well as a heap of Italian inspired spritzes, sours and shaken drinks.
We offer seating inside for 80 including bar and kitchen dining, another 50 outside, and a private room that seats 14.
We look forward to welcoming you into our home, at Bocca Italian, Tony, Luke and Harry.

The food and service at Bocca unfortunately seems to suffer during busier periods. The service was subpar and gave off a chaotic vibe, having to chase down a waiter each time you wanted to place a drink or food order. I don’t like to leave negative reviews and feel it is overpriced, small portions and poor service for a restaurant.

The food was fine, service very impersonal not warm at all, where is the Italian vibe?????? Atmosphere well nothing special, tables and chairs can have more character, the staff all felt distant from each other rather than being a team, a fun team, the restaurant needs much more of a European feel to it, no point to have all expensive wines ect… and the rest does not match the experience. Sad to see the hospitality industry feel so disconnected. Hopefully things will change. All the best.

Great location, way overpriced for food quality and service. Soggy overcrowded pizza covered in burnt semolina, $20 for a small mozzarella ball on a bed of mediocre coleslaw. Having to wave down/get attention of staff if you require anything. FOH staff seemed far too overwhelmed for 17 heads at 4:30pm on a Thursday. Not a bad experience but when you look at the menu prices; not worth it.

I’m a Sunshine Coast local and go to Bocca regularly, it’s a great central meeting point. When I have visitors, I always take them to Bocca and they’re super impressed and I’m talking people who know their food! Staff are so friendly, happy, work together well and it’s clear they enjoy their job. Thanks so much Bocca crew 🍷♥️
