Bonito brings together the many flavours of Peruvian cuisine and combines them with fresh, local ingredients. Never tried Peruvian food? Keep reading.
Peruvian cuisine harmoniously weaves together flavours from various corners of the globe. Influenced by its rich history and cultural diversity, the culinary tapestry of Peru reflects flavours from Spain, Italy, Japan, China and beyond. Peru’s unique landscape consists of an expansive Pacific coastline, the Andean mountains and the Amazon rainforest – providing access to vibrant and diverse ingredients – varieties of potato, corn, seafood, chilli, fruits and grains are used extensively in Peruvian cooking. Fish ceviche and lomo saltado are two of our classic dishes, come give it a try!

                                                                  The food and the service were excellent. Every dish was special and full of flavor. We ordered a few starters, 3 mains and the 2 desserts. I’ve recommend ordering a bit of everything and share. It’s worth trying everything! Thank you Franco and Andrea for an amazing experience.

                                                                  Amazing flavours and everything is done to perfection 😋 You need to try the ceviche and the lamb was so tender and delightful with the puree. Fine dining without the pretentiousness - the two owners are so friendly and happy to chat or explain the food, even on a busy night. So awesome to have such exquisite food at our doorstep in humble little Wollongbar 🥰

                                                                  We enjoyed an exceptional meal at Bonito. What a gem to find in Wollongbar! Beautiful, delicate, authentic flavours from Peru and the best pisco sours we've ever had. Our host Franco was warm, friendly and provided lots of insights into his culture. We'll absolutely be back!
