The dead come to life at Borracha. With decorative and festival skulls watching over guests, Borracha, located in Green Valley Ranch, is as dangerous as you want it to be. With a nod toward the famed Day of the Dead, the Borracha offers Mexican-inspired dishes and features a drink menu with an abundance of cervezas, tequila and specialty cocktails to take the edge off. The menu is as seductive as the surroundings, featuring sharable plates, inventive burritos and entrees that would make any skeleton want come back to life. Made-from-scratch tortillas and addictive tacos featuring rotisserie chicken, slow-cooked short ribs and fresh Baja fish gives your palate and explosion of flavor. A hand-painted floor and wraparound mural brings life to the intimate lounge and brings a festive vibe to the celebratory space.

We've been to Borracha many times, and we've never been disappointed. Tonight was great as usual. Hans was amazing, and our food was delicious.

We checked in at 6.11pm for a 6.15pm reservation. We were told by the host stand to come back closer to 6.15pm. That was weird. Then, as we were seated, we were told we had a two hour time limit. (Mind you, we were there for all of 1 hour). Our server, while nice, spoke way too softly given the music and other background noise. I had to resort to trying to read her lips. Food was fine, I’d eat there again - just odd energy as we were checking in and being seated.

The dark-haired hostess was very, very nice. She helped us get seated. The two men that were managing I suppose or very rude literally told me I couldn’t be seated earlier and thanked me and walked away no dialogue. The bus guys were absolutely outstanding. Our server was less than customer. Focus never gave us eye contact, and was very dry and not attentive

We normally have a great time and fantastic meal at Borracha, but tonight we were a little disappointed. We ordered the carnitas plate like usual. I always shred the meat and we make our own tacos, but today there was a lot of big ugly fat pieces in the meat that I had to remove. That was unappetizing and we lost about 20% of the dish. Not your best work Borracha.

Food was okay, Do not eat here if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food. Tacos are decent. My lady and I come here for taco Tuesday. Can’t be unlimited tacos and margaritas. Cool spot for a date.

Tacos were a bit dry. Wish they seated us near the back wall, booth or table. We were near the front with those back tables empty. A little too noisy.
