I wish to express my disappointment with the service at Boston Pizza North #458.
To begin I booked an appointment online for May 12th 5:45pm for 2 guests via Open Table, I received a confirmation email that my table was booked only to arrive and be told by the hostess that the reservation was not received at their location. However, she explained that Open Table wasn't working correctly, not that I would have been aware of that. She told me not to worry that she had some available tables.
We were seated at our table at 6pm. The waitress arrived a few minutes later to take our drink order, she returned with our drinks a few minutes later and at that we we ordered an appetizer. When she returned with the appetizer approximately 10 min later we placed our entrees order. My husband and I were enjoying the appetizer and 15 min later the server came by to pick up the empty dishes. We waited a further 10 min and realized it's taking awhile for our food to arrive but continued waiting patiently. It's now 6:35-6:40pm, I was ready to cancel my order but the server told me it would be a few more minutes. We received our food at 6:48pm, we began to eat our food and realized it was too late to finish at the restaurant so we asked for take out containers. My husband paid and left the restaurant, I decided to wait and speak to the manager/supervisor to complain about the long wait. Instead of taking the onus on behalf of Boston Pizza she blamed it on the fact that it was Mother's Day and the staff was busy. Well, I was not amused to say the least. You know well ahead of time that it will be busy because of Mother's Day, would the Manager not make sure the restaurant was well staffed? And if there wasn't enough staff, why were we not advised that there could be a longer wait before we placed our order. Anyhow, the manager didn't offer any goodwill gesture, so I got up and left. Needless to say I was not impressed with the service and the Manager handled the situation.
