Included in the World’s 50 Best Discovery list and is MICHELIN Guide recommended, Executive Chef Hector Laguna’s menu represents the botany of British Columbia and celebrates the biodiversity of the Pacific Northwest, where locally sourced ingredients are coupled with contemporary techniques. Located in the heart of Coal Harbour, the restaurant is home to Botanist Bar and includes a terroir-driven wine program that supports small-batch sustainable and biodynamic farming practices.

The award-winning Botanist Bar features a list of inventive and sophisticated cocktails, designed under the direction of Creative Beverage Director, Grant Sceney.     Went for the Valentine's Day menu. Had high expectations going in and the food and service exceeded our expectations. The food was sublime. My favourite dish was a Hokkaido scallop cooked perfectly with a beautiful sauce and sorbet and sweetness from julienned green apple with a dollop of caviar. Every bit was beautiful. Wanted to lick the plate it was so good. The next course was a soft egg with creamy polenta, black truffles, and a beautifully thin slide of crunchy sourdough that looked like a lace cover. Just beautiful and delicious. Then a steamed seabass which was cooked to perfection sitting in leche de tigre sauce with a salsa that gave it just the perfect amount of heat. The dish was served skin side up which made for a beautiful presentation. The last savoury course was an Australian wagyu zabuton cut. It was served with a beautifully roasted sunchoke and a wonderful bordelaise sauce. Great flavour with a little bit of chew if you like that. Then they served a sweet drink with a bit of a "spark" which was fun and then the dessert which was yummy but very rich and the only part of the meal which I felt could have been maybe lighter? The dessert was lovely but I could not finish it because it was so rich. Chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. Altogether an amazing meal. The service was excellent and everyone from entry to exit was very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for making our Valentine's dinner such a memorable evening!

    The weekend brunch at Botanist is outstanding! It was not my first time, however it was a first for my friend. There is a lot of freedom in the two or three course options and although I skipped the infamous mushroom toast this time, it is a stand out for those that like mushrooms. My friend was so impressed with the portion and offerings with the burrata salad. She thoroughly enjoyed every bite. We both opted for the lobster Benedict, however I will note that on previous visits, the croque madame and lamb belly poutine were also delicious. I opted in for a sweet finish for my second course and tried the croissant bread pudding. This is absolutely the most perfect brunch dessert, and the squash ice cream is absolute heaven. I must add the value with two beverages included is so fantastic. Finally our wonderful server Jess took such great care of us and was a delight. I am so enamoured with brunch, but I am making a point to return for dinner at some point.

    This was our fourth time at Botanist but the first time for brunch. We keep trying to give this place another chance but it’s always just mediocre. It’s so expensive for what it is. The ambience is cold and you could get the same quality food if not better at other local places like Jam cafe. Unless you want a fancy cocktail I don’t see why you’d come here for brunch.

    Probably the nicest meal I ever preferred at a restaurant. Extremely helpful waitress, great service, delicious cocktails, fine dining at its best
