BOUCHERIE is a traditional French brasserie and steakhouse, celebrating Joie de Vivre in the heart of West Village. The restaurant prepares a menu of French classics and timeless bistro favorites, in addition to the dry-aged steaks. An absinthe-inspired bar offers classic drinks, signature cocktails and craft beers. Located in the building that used to house the prominent Circle Repertory Theater, the 320-seat restaurant provides a diverse array of dining options from the spacious dining room, a seat at the butcher counter, the intimate second-floor gallery with private dining and outdoor cafe. Boucherie has adapted to the current environment to make the dining experience safe for guests and staff.

                  My friend was 40 mins late, so we ended up sitting at the bar and it was such a wonderful experience!! The bartender was very attentive, great food and drink recommendations.. This is why I keep coming back to this location of the Boucherie… the service and ambience - both are phenomenal!!

                  Surprised that they leaned into late 70s/early 80s pop/disco for Sunday brunch (was expecting French period music for ambiance, but not really a complaint. Not cheap but tasty. Will return.

                  I had a mixed experience during my last visit to Boucherie West Village, but I’m so glad I decided to give it another try. This time, everything was outstanding and far exceeded my expectations! The ambiance was fantastic, with great energy that set the tone for an enjoyable evening. The wait staff truly went above and beyond, ensuring we had a memorable night from start to finish. We started with the grilled octopus as an appetizer, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For our entrées, we had the beef bourguignon and the pappardelle bolognese. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, showcasing the chef’s skill and attention to detail. The sommelier also made an excellent recommendation for a Cabernet that paired beautifully with our entrées, enhancing the flavors and making the meal even more enjoyable. To top it all off, we ended the meal with dessert—a perfectly caramelized crème brûlée and delightful profiteroles. Both were the perfect sweet finale to an already incredible dining experience. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, and a lively yet inviting atmosphere made this a night to remember. I’m so glad I gave Boucherie West Village another chance—it’s now one of my favorites, and I can’t wait to return!
