Our modern history has seen this building through various restauranteurs. Each of them has done their best to cultivate a brand of high quality food in an upscale, yet comfortable, hometown atmosphere.

Now owned and operated by local family, Brewsters Bar and Grill participates in many community events and fundraisers, serves as a backdrop for your family's celebrations, and remains a fixture in Old Town Galt all year long. Brewsters is a hidden gem in the sleepy town of Galt. What a fabulous find!!! Located in a historic building, the charm oozed from the walls and tin ceiling. It was pleasantly lit due to a wall of windows overlooking a beautiful brick and trellised patio. We started with the house, flavor- infused vodka & soda which was a surprising treat on a warm evening. Our server, Gabriel encouraged us to try it, and we were so glad we did. For dinner, we ordered the NY steak, smothered in mushrooms and onions with baked potato and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. The star of the show, however, was the Tuscan pasta w/shrimp w/2 slices of delicious garlic bread.Wow! What an amazing combination of flavors! We didn’t think it could get better, but then we ordered the chocolate mouse cake with ice cream. Delish!!! The portions were hearty and we took plenty of food home. The best part of this fantastic meal, however, was our server, Gabriel. We haven’t had service that spectacular since pre-Covid times! Can’t wait to return with the whole family!

Ambience wasn't what I expected from pictures on website which appeared as quiet intimate setting. However, it is lovely and reminds me of the old brick buildings turned restaurants in my home town in Alabama. Step back in time and enjoy the open dining room or the brick enclosed courtyard. Food was very good. We had Scampi and pineapple teriyaki chcken. Both were tasty, sides were delicious. Scampi is not classic, it is made with feta and olives, not classic white wine butter. I knew it, tried it, liked it. Service was the BEST. Pleasant, thoughtful young lady kept careful watch over us without hovering or intruding.

We love the atmosphere at Brewsters, especially out on the patio on a beautiful day. I had a steak salad and my MIL had the French dip, both were good. We will be back.

Service was a bit slow considering the restaurant wasn't anywhere near capacity. Meat was overcooked. Our waiter was slow to follow up and check on us. I sent my main course back. The Second one was perfect. Overall, they fell short. I will try again to see if it was just simply an off night.

The food took over an hour to receive. The waiter was kind enough to take two of our plates back to warm up the food and took off my daughters breakfast due to hair being in the potatoes.

As always Chef Konnor hit a grand slam! The starter cheese blend with olive oil and bread was a great kick-start next up, roasted chèvre and garlic appetizer was perfect. Tikka masala was rich in flavor and not over-spiced, the rice was fragrant. Shrimp Alfredo with poppardelle was rich and creamy. Dessert was crazy good, cremè brûlée crisp and rich, the key lime pie with raspberry swirl is a winner! Last but not least is Mashawn, our server. Fun, attentive, perky, friendly made our dining experience complete. Big, big thank you to Kim & Konnor!

We’ve been to this restaurant several times in the last few years. The calamari was tough and the caper sauce was overbearing. The prime rib was also tough and at least 1/3 was fat. Very disappointing.
