Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with appetizer selections.

    The mezzanine level at BRICCO, which overlooks the charm and bustle of the historic North End of Boston, seats 60 people comfortably for dinner. Other Private dining includes a room that accomodates 20 and one that accomodates 32 guest. Private dining at Bricco features custom menus formulated by the same talented chef who oversees the acclaimed restaurant kitchen downstairs, as well as a superb Italian\American wine list.

                                                                        We had an excellent dinner at Bricco. We met friends (6 of us in all) that we had not seen in several months so it was nice to have a table by the window where we could hear each other talk. I think the restaurant can get loud at times but it was not bad. The food was excellent!! Adrian our waiter was very attentive and patient since it took some time to place our order since we were catching up with each other. All 6 people in our party had meals they rate a 10 out of 10. Will be back here again when we are in the area.

                                                                        Food was excellent- Had Short Ribs, and wife had Pork Shank. Added Mussels as appetizer which was also excellent. A little loud for a Tuesday night in January, but should probably expect for North End. Wolmar was the best and very attentive waiter.

                                                                        We were excited to try this restaurant and heard great things. Our server and the atmosphere was fantastic, but the food was just meh. The fritto misto didn’t taste super fresh and was a little over fried. I expected the ricotta pillows to be fluffy and decadent but they were flat and a bit undercooked with very little filling. The sides on our main dish were all cold and the main dish itself was just warm. Maybe it was an off night, but probably won’t try again.

                                                                        Service was fine. Not over the top. Didn’t love the upstairs back room. Food was great, not quite what it has been the last few times, we felt a bit rushed. Would still go back.

                                                                        I’ve ate at Bricco before and it was the best experience. Food and service was 10/10! I went last night and the portions were so much smaller than 1 month ago. The pasta also had a weird after taste (dirty water). My friends and I did not enjoy the food!
