Brock Street’s 3rd Floor Lounge setting is designed as a prohibition style, members’ lounge and cocktail bar. Here you can enjoy craft beer, handcrafted cocktails, and spirits, designed and produced by Brock Street Brewing and Distilling Company. Only Light Fare is offered at present. For main floor full service restaurant bookings please visit 12welvebistro.ca. Brock Street was founded by four best friends with a goal of helping to revitalize downtown Whitby, a place they all call home. The Brock Street building is a newly constructed building that opened in 2019. It was built to the historical standards of 1800’s locally inspired architecture and is complete with numerous historical artifacts including horse hitch rings, antique lighting, and reclaimed brick throughout. The building contains a main floor restaurant, 12welve Bistro, a 2nd floor banquet hall, and the 3rd floor, which is home to Whitby’s only rooftop patio.

I’ve been to Brock St twice already in 2025 because I’ve loved it so much. The 12Bistro restaurant on main floor has amazing food, large portions and wait staff was fabulous. The lounge on top floor is always inviting with friendly staff and live musicians on Saturday nights. A great place to bring friends, family or visitors from Toronto and afar. Food was good except for the steak, which was tough and not very tasty. Service was ok but server was too busy. It was very very loud and had to yell to talk to each other.

I had a review for the rooftop patio only to arrive and be told it was closed for a private wedding. The reservation was open for time slot that didn't exist. Be careful when making a reservation, particularly on a weekend.

This is only a bar with shareable food options like small plates of appetizers they don’t have a full menu. It’s on the 3rd floor of the building with amazing ambiance.

Disappointed we scheduled our Father’s Day dinner here for 5:30 on the app. got our confirmation email and reminders. Showed up only to find that they were closed and one of the servers said sorry but we close early on Sundays. Pretty upsetting as we were all excited to enjoy a sunny dinner on the patio up top. Our dinner plans got ruined.

Thank you for your honest feedback and our sincere apologies for this unfortunate misunderstanding. The 3rd floor lounge and rooftop patio is separately owned and operated from 12welve Bistro, the first floor restaurant. We operate as a drink/cocktail lounge without food service. Our hours are 1-6pm on Sundays. From your feedback, it sounds like you may have been looking to book the restaurant for dinner that day. We do outline this in our Open Table bio.
