With opulent interiors and a contemporary bar and eatery, we are proud to have become a hub for the local area. Join us for a great cup of coffee, a decent pint of beer, or a glass of chilled champagne. Take a seat at the bar facing the door if you want to see and be seen, or find a table in the garden room which opens out onto the terrace. The eatery is warm and welcoming with deep teal walls and splashes of rich mustard yellow offset by soft greys lit by twinkling chandeliers. On the walls hang historic posters from the Metroland era when Brookmans Park was built, part of the hugely-optimistic garden suburb movement.

The Gold Room can accommodate up to 100 standing, or alternatively seat up to 30 guests.For smaller gatherings, our private dining room provides a hidden space, the room is tucked away just through the snug. Although there were lots of empty tables service was slow. Main course on the “specials” board and coffee machine broken so only Americano available. Food we ate was very nice

A menu to suit all tastes - food was good, disappointing that 2 of the 3 real ales were not available. We had a late Tuesday lunch, the restaurant was very quiet.

As a local, I felt compelled to write a review. Quite possibly the best afternoon I have had in the pub. I normally visit once or twice a week. The new Manager is absolutely superb, service was excellent and the food was great. Happy party of 6 and as I live in the village, I was very pleased with the service and quality!!

Went for Sunday lunch. Restaurant has a set price for 2 or 3 courses. We shared a baked Camembert to start and the roast beef and roast pork mains. Was assured beef was nice and my pork was good too apart from a very small postage stamp size piece of crackling. We were too full for pudding. When the bill arrived I noticed there was no allowance for set price, The manager came to apologise that the system was not operating properly. I wonder how many other customers noticed this error.

As always, a great place for friends to meet, the restaurant staff managed to cope well with one member of the group being gluten intolerant, and two picky children. We have to say the staff were amazing, and so helpful and considerate.

Regulars at the brookmans for years…. That was the worst food I have ever had in the brookmans and the service was awful too.. real shame don’t think we will be back for a while

The staff were very welcoming and polite. A slight mix up with our orders on both sides was rectified without fuss. The choices were varied but not overwhelming and food cooked well. The venue is very handsome looking.
