                                                                                                                        Underwhelmed, mac and cheese bites tasted like nothing so did the chicken that comes on the Mac and cheese dish. It tasted like batter why not use the same chicken as the friend chicken plate. Jambalaya was over spiced but good. Overall wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either especially at the price.

                                                                                                                        Very disappointing experience. Went for brunch before Civic Center. Server was not very friendly and seem bothered by having to set serve us. Steak and eggs were horrible. Worst steak and eggs weren’t cooked as ordered. Hashbrowns were cold and soggy from blood on very tough, undercooked steak. Hostess very friendly and comped the steak.

                                                                                                                        The best item was the deviled eggs! The item I wasn’t impressed with was the crab cakes. I’ve had better, not much crab and were cold. I had the catfish skillet( blackened) . It was just ok. My husband had the meatloaf, he said it was better the first time he had it. Our two friends liked their meals( catfish skillet- fried and catfish fillets) . We had margaritas, the glasses could have been larger, for the price. Over all it was as nice evening out.

                                                                                                                        Beautiful interior and very clean. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were 30 mins late and I did call but we were even later. There was no problem and they sat us promptly downstairs as I was with my mother and the stairs would have been a little challenging. Our server was friendly but I did feel a little rushed. We had been at the hospital all week with very long days. We were staying at the hotel next door so an easy walk back. We were both tired and need a little time to relax. Food was amazing and just like promised A-LOT!! Chicken fried steak and lamb pasta. Thank you we will be back next time in Des Moines!!
