At Buck & Honey’s, we've taken great care to ensure your first visit makes you feel like you're stopping by an old friend's. We're locally owned and offer a wide variety of traditional fare made from scratch with only the freshest available ingredients.… Great pastas, tender steaks, fresh entree salads, unique specialty sandwiches, critically acclaimed Friday fish fry and our deliciously crispy thin crust pizzas round out our offerings. Check out the extensive wine list, craft cocktails and beer selections. Join us for live entertainment and special events. Located on the Yahara River in Monona, featuring 23 boat slips for boat parking and dock side carry out.

Summer months include patio seating, that is first come first serve, and non-reservable.

    This was the 3rd time we have dined at Buck N Honey's. I LOVE the Mushroom Risotto, & I order it everytime when we are there. I ordered the Beef Mushroom Stroganoff this time. I was good, but I didn't care for the noodles used with it. They should be "twirly" noodles that are not thick, & I didn't see to many mushrooms in my Stroganoff. Our waiter was "Kadiere", & he did a great job! I wish that the place served mixed alcoholic drinks, but their drink menu isn't bad, I enjoyed my PineApple Mimosa". I will be back, but will come in the evening because I like the ambience much better at night. The only other thing that could have been better, is having our Waiter come a little sooner than he did. He did say he was a little busy, & he would get to us soon. He did check on us often, so that made up for it. PLEASE change the noodles in the Stroganoff, I believe it will be ordered more often. Overall, my Hubby, our Daughter & I had a great time. 😀👍

    All 4 members of my group ordered different items. One was delivered at least 5 minutes before the rest, and then the others were delivered one at a time. I ordered my favorite grilled romaine and tenderloin salad, but the romaine was barely grilled. It lacked flavor and there was no green, it was all yellow and white. Also there was barely any blue cheese. Overall, disappointing. The desserts were good, but my friend said the rum cake was underwhelming. However, our server was delightful.

    Sat near two large tables of celebrating guests. We were happy they we’re having fun however their language was a bit foul and they were loud. Made it difficult for us to be heard. Also, we ordered the onion soup to enjoy before our meal and it arrived with our entree which rushed our meal. First time at the Monona location and it was very nice! Food was delicious. I had the Tai Chicken bowl which was tasty. My husband had the baked cod fish fry also very good. Had enough to take home for lunch today.

    My boyfriend and I visited to celebrate our anniversary. The service was great and the staff went above and beyond to make our night feel extra special. Not to mention the food was delicious, especially the cheesecake.

    Great food, great service and love the location! Very nice menu and pricing is reasonable! Pam Fried Walleye and the prime rib were perfect!

    Priscilla was our waitress and she provided exceptional service during our visit. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and warm, making us feel truly welcomed and valued. Her patience and genuine care did not go unnoticed, as she ensured that every detail of our experience was perfect.     I decided I wanted to have my birthday dinner and Buck & Honey's in Monona. It was also Restaurant Week so there were some special dishes available. Everything was delicious and nicely presented on the plates. I had the brie bacon cups for an appetizer and they were great, just wish they had been a bit larger. My husband and I both had the beef stroganoff -- it was delicious, sauce was very tasty. Our server, I think her name was Samantha, was appropriately attentive. We will definitely be back.
