BuenaVista Restaurant & Bar is a gourmet Latin American eatery located in Hell’s Kitchen NYC. The restaurant’s ambience, décor and cuisine will leave you feeling that you’ve been on a Latin American tour.

Our aim is to provide first class hospitality along with a memorable culinary experience. From start to finish, you will receive exceptional customer service, mouth-watering food, exotic cocktails and an extensive wine list. Your dining experience will encompass some of the amazing flavors from the Caribbean islands of Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and even some of the undiscovered regions of Mexico & South America.
At BuenaVista you can try "yucca” (or cassava) from Cuba, “barbacoa" (or pozole) from Mexico and Patagonian cuisine from southernmost South America. You'll be able to experience how the regional Caribbean and South American climates influence certain dishes.

Definitely overpriced, food okay..argentinian skirt dry...banana plantain dry, service is lacking big time...has 4.7 reviews and food pictures dont resemble reality... I expect better if you say is south america food improve your quality, your prices already overcharged. Save your $ ...go down the road to a Peruvian restaurant is like 8 minute walking distance in front of a gelato place down the road...i think is called Samu...and RESCUE your day.

Food was pretty good, but service was soo slow. They made me the wrong drink twice and just generally took forever to make cocktails. Then auto added 20% tip for a party of two which clarified why they didn’t care about providing decent service

Good was amazing. The flavors were on point and the staff isn’t friendly and welcoming. I love everything I tried and recommend it. I would go back in a heart beat.

Simply loved the foods. The staffs were very welcoming and caring. Loved the calamari, Pan seared duck and roasted pork. Also, must try their complementary bread with olive oil. One of the best sourdough they serve. I recommend this place .

Recipes and presentations were amazing. We tried multiple apps, meals and desserts. The food was fantastic. Service was amazing. Tables were cleaned promptly and food came out hot.

Food was so so. We had the Argentinian flank steak that came with barely anything on it and was way undercooked. My smoked salmon caviar appetizer came on very dry, too thick and hard to eat toast. Service was not always attentive and we didn’t like that they trapped people into ordering bottled water (were offered still or sparkling water, and we said still, meaning plain water, and were brought a bottle of still mineral water). They never brought any bread to the table, never checked if we needed more drinks, had to flag the waiter down for a check, and it’s a tiny restaurant. Shouldn’t be that hard to keep on eye on tables. The table where we sat was drafty and cold from the brick wall next to it that had small cracks in it. And every time the door opened you can feel the cold air coming in. It was otherwise a cute restaurant, nicely decorated for the holidays, ambiance and music was lovely.

The food was amazing. The server made recommendations and they were all beautiful. I had a glass of the house red, the lamb chop special with risotto (with their amazing hot sauce) and the banana bread pudding. Overall it was a beautiful meal.
