Buona Forchetta started in 2011 as a craving of Matteo’s to bring some of his native Italy to our adopted home of South Park. We found the perfect corner and built the perfect oven. Since then, we’ve strived to deliver an exceptional and authentic Italian experience to our customers keeping our focus on the simple recipes that Matteo grew up on. We owe a huge “grazie” to our neighbors who have joined us on this awesome journey, and we hope that you will continue to be part of our story.

OpenTable美食編輯： This easygoing Italian restaurant has five locations all over San Diego that specialize in Neapolitan-style pizzas and northern Italian staples. It’s loved by the area’s families for kid-friendly touches: Pasta dishes can be ordered in smaller portions, and the restaurant’s Liberty Station location has two play areas, plus a vintage red Fiat converted into a dining table.

The server was more of an order taker than an actual service oriented person. The manager was just floating by not really connecting with anyone or helping out more. Pizza was the best dish. Pasta was okay. Server dropped the check and eventually had to get up and get someone to pay our bill. Would probably return for the pizza but the service makes me not want to return.

The food was good but I wish they had more variety in their selections such as veal piccata, etc. I also would have liked hot Italian bread to be available. The seating isn’t very comfortable ad the chairs are small and metal. If we had been dressed more for a very casual occasion it would have been fine but for being a little more dressed and celebrating a birthday more comfortable seating would have been better. Chicken parmigiana was delicious and the chocolate mousse with strawberries was worth the entire trip. Overall recommend but not necessarily for any special occasion.

My girlfriend and I both agree it was very worth it. This place isn’t just worth your money, it’s worth your time. Such good homemade noodles and sauces 🤤 10/10 for me
