Burma (modern day Myanmar) is the Northernmost country of Southeast Asia and is bordered by China, Laos, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India.

With these shared borders, there are countless differences that set out to divide cultures and people. However, with it also comes an influence of rich culture, tradition, flavors, and one universal language… food.

Made up of 135 different ethnic groups, each with its own culture, language and history, a whisper of intrigue surrounds Burma, a melting pot of cultures, and flavors.

Burmese cuisine is influenced by Ingredients and spices of surrounding countries, but the way in which those ingredients are used is what makes Burmese cuisine so unique.

We loved the other Burma Love location in San Francisco, so we were excited to try it again when we were in Menlo Park. Maybe it was not our lucky day last night. The Mohinga soup I ordered was salty, too much of the fish sauce flavor. The jasmine rice was mushy and cold. We were disappointed.

The food was excellent. I have lived in and travelled around SE Asia and found the menu diversity and the quality of food very authentic and high quality. HOWEVER The atmosphere in the restaurant is really poor. It is much too loud as there is nothing soft/ acoustical to absorb sound. It is also not an inviting ambiance and seems almost cheap

Excellent food and service, but the noise level is over the top. Don't go there expecting to carry on a conversation.

Our dinner at Burma Love Menlo Park was a bit of a mixed bag. The service was fine and the Crag Rangoon Dip appetizer was pretty good. However, the B.F.C - Burmese Fried Chicken - was not good. Most of the pieces are quite chewy to the point of being a jaw workout to eat. Flavors were ok but for nearly $30 without rice or sides this was disappointing.

Gorgeously decorated restaurant with light fixtures like fireworks, hand picked accents and tableware. The food is delicious with it’s unique cuisine from Burma and the servers are so friendly and attentive. It’s not overpriced either. Definitely recommend this place!

We came for lunch with friends and had the set lunch. It was nice to have choices for accompaniments and entree. The tea salad is included. Deliciously prepared, beautiful environment and nice service. Would recommend to friends.
