Byblos Café, originally a Mediterranean market, has been a staple in the orange circle since the 50’s. It was sold to Adel and Zalfa Mahshi in 1989. The family run business became a favorite in the town for Lebanese cuisine. Many locals loyally frequented the spot for their famous Turkish coffee. In 2022, Daily Dose Hospitality, the crew that also runs Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, purchased the business from the family. While Adel and Zalfa had the opportunity to retire, their son, Tim, joined the team alongside Pedram Yazarlou as operating partners. They have transitioned the cuisine to a Mediterranean fusion style with influences from Greece, Turkey, Iran, Lebanon, & Jordan.

                                                                  We made a reservation for two couples on Open Table , received an email requesting confirmation and we complied. However on arrival we discovered the restaurant was closed for the holidays and we had to scurry around looking for an open restaurant on a busy Saturday night and ended up eating pizza.

                                                                  I was very excited to try this place after reading the reviews. Usually dine at larger establishments but wanted to give a smaller place a try. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is nice and cozy but my fish, the Mahi entree was way overcooked. The moment I received my food I could immediately notice the fish was cooked too long. Really not sure how the chef didn't notice that. It was cold and rainy so I didn't complain but I don't think I will be back.

                                                                  This was our first time dining here. The service was prompt and courteous. The food was delicious. We were a bit disappointed there was no baklava dessert, but the ice cream dessert was a great replacement. So good. We will definitely return for another meal.

                                                                  Excellent service. Wish there were more soup options besides lentil soup but falafel and chicken were delicious. The hot water refill with the Turkish coffee ladle was a nice touch. Small seating area with bar and table options. Having sports on the TVs felt a bit misaligned with the authentic Turkish cuisine and mid-price tag. Overall, it’s a why not sure spot. Not a whoa incredible spot.
